BREAKING NEWS: Obama authorizes airstrikes against Iraq militants 'if necessary'

The wind blew and wiped those ones away.
Assad said he was fighting foreign extremists, Obama said he was a despot and was massacring the Syrian people.

Now he's an invaluable aid in fighting the Islamic State (that he's been fighting all along).

Its actually unbelievable that it hasn't been pointed out by, I dunno, EVERYONE.

Herrekin..

All along I have been thinking why in the fuck do we want to help get rid of Assad. He has been protecting the christians and seems to be helping the right people in my opinion. I am beginning to think there is more to the story than what we know about the muslim brother hood and BarryO.

If necessary??? Who does he think decides that?? Are we gonna ask the UN for guidance??

How weak can our president look?

I dont think they are going to let him keep the peace prize....
Putting Obama's statement through the patented "BS Translater" yields:

"I'm really unsure of how to handle this, in terms of it impacting my already-severely-tainted legacy. So I'm floating a possibility out there of "airstrikes if necessary". And now, I'll monitor the polls and see how the American people react. Instead of acting on my own."

Even tho he's on his second and final term, he doesn't know how to get out of campaign mode.

I hadn't thought about that but I believe you are correct. Perhaps Assad isn't such a bad guy after all?
We gave the go ahead for the Shias in the south to rise up and rebel against Saddam Hussein at the end of the first gulf war. Established a no fly zone so they wouldnt have to worry about Husseins gunships.
Then the poster of Ayatollah Khomeini started popping up.

And we let Hussein slaughter the rebels with the helicopter gunships we sold him 5 years earlier

yeah Maybe Assad isnt so bad. He was actually fighting ISIS before they were ISIS

Syria had little to do with a evil despot and more about about a pipeline. Can't finish the pipeline until things settle down. Some big corporation isn't making money and they have enlisted Obama's aid to "get 'er done." The Islamic state has thrown a big monkey wrench into the works.

Oh look. IRAN'S ROUTE TO THE MEDITERRANEAN SEA!!!

The good news is that they cant get there because ISIS is in the way.

The bad news is that ISIS turned out to be way worse than IRAN and is currently committing genocide and religious genocide.

Dont worry, Obama is gonna bomb a few trucks and artillery pieces and drop some MRE's and everything will be better and the world will love the USA again.... Oh wait...

It's a shitty situation for sure, but I want him to stay out of it. By him I mean us. I was against it then, I'm against it now and I'll be against it next time and the time after that.

I don't believe strategically dropping a few bombs to get our point across makes any sense on any level though. If we go, let's go and not pussy foot around and show our might, but given a choice, I'd rather we stayed home.

america or uk cannot stay out of it and we cannot wade in guns blazing expecting to win

we also cannot allow that entire region to fall into the Isil's handst

they are using alot of captured weapons and vehicles i have no problem in the slightest in destroying those assets

Why? How does it affect us if ISIS in charge until the next regime change?

Not being facetious here, I really don't know. I know they are bad people in re: to personal freedom, but compare them to our own government. We not only shit on our own, we shit on yours, theirs and those guys over there too. I just don't think we have a dog in that fight other than the dog we put over there over a decade ago. It was a mistake then, we are piling on now.
