Breeding Question

hello all,

I have breed before but the seeds didnt start. Anyway lil baked but always thinking. I have a dank purple strain the smells an tastes of bubble gum and i have some pure blue bud as well, is there a dominate one male or female. How would i go about locking in both blue and purple tones? Possibly locking in the bubble gum as well? Thanks for thoughts an comments!

lots and lots of selective breeding man. probably take a while to get it stable. i am just answering based on what i've read, which is quite a bit, I just haven't got into myself yet. as you probably know, something like this would take some work. good luck though, the pride of your own dank ass strain most be pretty cool.

Yeah, Robert's right. Gotta breed for every one of those traits you want. It's doable, but like Robert said, gonna take a bit of work. Best of luck to you.

ok i will be starting this year so i will start a journal when things get going. If you are interested sub to this and i will be reporting back with the website

So you want to start breeding, well what I would do, if I were you:
1) Choose male/female 1 and breed it with female/male 2. These will be your first father and mother. I'm assuming you know what father and mother plants are. Lets say your Blue is the male and your Purple is the female.
2) Now you have some f1s... wooh! Breed the f1s together that you like the best.
3) Now you have a bunch of of f2s... oh man, so many phenos. What to do? Simple, find the ones that you like. Say you found some cool lookin' blue purple rainbow pheno goin on! You now have three opitons.
4a) Breed the phenos you like together to further stabilize your ideal strain
4b) Breed the pheno you like with the blue father to further stabilize the blue traits.
4c) Breed the rainbow with the purple " " the purple traits.
5a-c) Find the phenos that you like Repeat 4
6a-c) Repeat 5
7) Hey, you have some semi stabilized strains. Probably want to repeat step 5 once more
8 ) Are there a small amount phenos? Is the variation between phenos not extremely drastic? If no to one or both of these questions, repeat step 5, if yes to both go to step 9!
9) Create your new father and mother plants from the best looking phenos. Of your new stabilized strain.
10) If you come across an elite branch coming off of one of your mothers or fathers take a cutting. Make that your new father/mother. Repeat as much as necessary.

I don't think I have ever seen the process of breeding anything laid out quite so simply. Well done! +rep!
