FDD those are from seed right, props on those magnificent ladies. Many in the emerald triangle say(quoting high times mag) that "only the best medicine comes from organic nutrients, sunlight and plants started from Seed"

IMO seeds are the way to go for good strong plants...

If you have ever cloned a sick or stressed plant you have seen that the clone will cary at least some of the stress and ailments (if any) from its mother...

All be it slower and less guaranteed (female/male) it is the natural way of things...

right now I'm laying a male w.w.(purple pheno) to one of each: nlXhaze(crystal haze), kahuna(white magician), s.s.(g.w.shark), w.russian(russian 'XX'(double cross)),master kush(white kush), purple haze(purple widow), some long tooth haze cross(??),pineapple punch(white pine?), and backcrossed to a female widow from the same order.....does that make me a member of the communist party mr. mc carthy? shotgun genetics? it's harder to miss with a shotgun!

I like this idea... I think i might do a double shotgun if i get a few more varities of seeds...

4 males 4 females... With each female bag and seed 4 different bud sites with the 4 different males...

16 different possibilities of genetics... =]

Take the best 4 and repeat or start to develop a solid strain...

my theory for a shotgun weddin', is plant the illegitimate children, grow 'em out, clone the best ones, and repeat. I'm not too concerned with stabilizing anything just yet...just enjoying the variety and the learning from doing aspect. :blsmoke:

It's tempting for someone (myself included,) to try their hand at breeding for certain phenotypes, or to try and come up with our own version of a plant, and it has and can been done. But the resources and time needed are usually a little more than most of us working class heroes can handle. But you need to keep on trying, mainly because it IS enjoyable, even while frustrating. (I've got a baby sitting out back I've been experimenting with for several months now, and it's good for the soul, even if nothing ever comes of it except that I had a good time.):peace:

Hey, I just want to thank you again for recommending this book. I picked it up on amazon along with Jorge's book for 22 bucks plus shipping. I am knee deep in genetics, punnett squares and friggin Mendel's peas!! This has to be the most interesting aspect of growing, being able to grow a stable line with strong attributes. I'm even thinking of taking a botany class when I get to AZ in a month.

Again, thanks for the recommendation. AWESOME BOOK!!:mrgreen:
