Finally i got full reports from TEKNIK of the eb gen 3, 2700k 90 cri. The strip used was the 590 mm slim version.
Some notes: tests are made at working temperature, not pulsed. The range is 380-840nm
Please note that both ppf and radiated watts are in the report, this last thing is note worthy as we are getting more and more into lights incorporating UV and low nm: these nm will always be at disadvantage as 50% efficiency 380 is much less, like almost half iiuc, of a 730nm diode at 50% efficiency. Please correct me if those numbers are wrong. The idea is to use both ppf/w and % efficiency when we judge a light so that sacrificing ppf/w in order to get at those pesky sub 400 nm we all seem to crave doesnt mean that it tanks the lights stats. Kinda like cmh looks much better when we look at % efficiency than if you look at ppf. However no real uv in these strips though.
Efficiencies are around 53% or 2.67 at near to nominal and all numbers are board numbers, not system. Not too shabby hard to say about true to datasheet cause the 90 cri section is a joke, every cct with 161 lum/w iirc.
I also gleamed a peak on what TEKNIK is looking at next, some very interesting stuff but i had to promise not to divulge too much but safe to say that Buddies isnt his last product by far, but covid and just general freezed up cashflows is putting a hold on most stuff. I gather it will be premium rather than bang for buck.
