Doesn't stop criminals
in the united states, there are 10.54 gun deaths per 100,000.

in the united kingdom, there are 0.23 gun deaths per 100,000.

so it may not stop all criminals all the time, which is some kind of pipe dream hoarded by bible thumping jesus freak white nationalist secessionists like you, but it does make it 46 times less likely. which is pretty good.

you gonna start that revolution yet? or maybe at least stop cashing the checks the federal government is sending you?

Gun deaths is such an inflated number.

There is a big difference between police shootings,

One on one murder, the old fashioned kind. Like man kils his wife another man she was fucking.

The phenemonan of violent public use of firearms to kill random strangers is an entirely different set of issues. There have been crazy people, and fairly normal people go nuts and start shooting.

Here lately we've also had Muslims conducting these type of attacks for years. The last major ones have been Islamic terrorism.

nope. orlando shooter had no ties to ISIS at all. none.

like you, he was just a mentally disturbed latent homosexual.
Where did I say ISIS?

I think I specifically said Muslim terrorist. It doesn't take away from the point at all that even though ISIS proper over there didnt know this guy, didn't train then plant him or wasn't recruiting him.

All we have to do is listen to the shooter. He pledged his bold act of Islamic inspired mission work, recruiting souls for Satan. Sending the infidel to Hell and gloriously dying killing infidels in the name of his prophet, pbuh.

It should make a difference that the shorter was from here. (the difference is my favor) He wasn't a convert to Islam he was born into a fairly traditional Islamic family that happened to mak the decision to move.

People always say there is no telling what was in someone's mind when they do this shit...

This man associated himself with ISIS. He said so, he declared his religious motive to the people he was shooting and those he let live.

At what would be a cold sober moment for the shooter, the bulk of the carnage has been done, he is in the bathroom with hostages he articulating a reason to them for why they were allowed to live. The rush is dying down from the blood lust, then he proclaims the glory of this act to ISIS and talks in Arabic, probably religious statements.

To say this is divorced from Islam is ignorance of reality

It seems I have all the right wingnuts on ignore. Bully!

It actually pains me to know there are people this stupid living and breathing- and God help us, voting and breeding- in this country today.

Do they know the difference between verifiable facts and 'talking points'? It seems not. Do they have any clue how backwards their understanding of basic economics is? Their finances tell the whole truth. Where and how can they maintain the cognitive dissonance necessary to believe that blatant authoritarianism equates in any way to 'freedom'?

Can they read anything longer than a paragraph on the Internet? Does the name George Orwell, terms like 'newspeak' or ideas like aristocracy or the ultimate consequences of voter suppression ring any fucking bells AT ALL?

In order to effect change in this country, we kinda need to unite around some basic agreements, like fairness, equality under the law, the sanctity of one's civil rights and the need to end the concentrations of wealth and power that lead to hereditary oligarchy and ultimately revolution and ruin?

With ignorant, aggressively self destructive twits like these, the task seems hopeless.

An MP has died after she was shot and stabbed in a "horrific" assault in her constituency, police have said.

Jo Cox, Labour MP for Batley and Spen, was left bleeding on the ground after the attack in Birstall, West Yorkshire. A man was arrested nearby.

One eyewitness told the BBC they heard her attacker shout "put Britain first" at least twice beforehand.

Tributes flooded in from politicians including David Cameron, Jeremy Corbyn and US Secretary of State John Kerry.

Mrs Cox's husband Brendan said she would want people "to unite to fight against the hatred that killed her."

Full story here

"Put Britain first"..

Thoughts on this?
Thank god they restrict guns. Otherwise he would have shot her then stabbed her.

From the BBC today:

The man charged with the murder of Labour MP Jo Cox has appeared in court and been remanded in custody.

Thomas Mair gave his name as "Death to traitors, freedom for Britain", when he appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court.

Says more about him being crazy than being political i think

I agree,
Gun deaths includes suicides by gun. Very dodgy number for comparing by country. They use pills and rope in Britain I guess.
