Brittle fan leaves

I have a plant 2 1/2 weeks into veg and the lower fan leaves started to crack while training under a screen. It's an NL pure strain, mostly Indica. The lower fan leaves are about the size of my hand and the screen is about 5in above the soil line. Is it normal for fan leaves to become brittle and crack when training? Should I not even bother bringing them up into the canopy? First time scrogging, any suggestions would be much appreciated.

A whole plant pic and then closer of the area would speak a thousand words to those inclined to help....
area temp?
How often watered and how much? DWC has a point there! But I might suspect that to much airflow would be effecting the rest of the plant also.

I don't know, I am merely debating the situation
but, I would think, for Fan Leaves to turn brittle
dehydration would have to play a part...?

I have found that if my fans are blowing too intensely on a set of leaves, it really can dry them out. I imagine that with so much air travelling over the surface of the leaf it transpires extremely quickly. Perhaps too quickly for the leaf to remain hydrated. I noticed if I were to rotate the plant, it cured the problem on the brittle leaf and started drying out and making the other side of the plant brittle. Good luck bro

Thanks for the replies guys, high/low temps are 79/64 F and RH is 60/40%

I do have a fan blowing directly on them, I usually like to have some osculation for stem and root health however it seems that is not recommended? I was also thinking a lite misting may keep them moist and prevent cracking.. I'm watering about twice a week, just started nutes a few days ago, cracking began after the fan leaves grew to their proper size about a week ago, I will have some pics later on.
