if your broke why do you need a scale?
well the thing is, i baught a quo the other day to push and i spend all the money i had on it and then i scraped together a couple of dollars buying bags so i had no money for a scale. and i needed to flip it so i figured if i use the rigged up scale plus eye balling i could make some pretty nice bags. then i figured there prolly alot of ppl on my favorite site that are in the same situation so i posted it up so that others in the same situation would have somthin to go on. but once you get the money i would suggest getting a scale because it took a while to weigh it out due to re-balencing the hanger, making sure there was nothing in the cups and cleaning the cups of shake, etc.

u can make one out of a hanger.... string..... and paper... and celurtape.... paper & celurtape to make pockets.... celurtape to stick the sides down for the pockets.... the hanger hangs from a horizontal place....... u put in nickels like fdd said and u got your scale :D

Only does 5 gramm steps if ya use a nickel... go online to find out how heavy your money is... :D

peace and then to see if there the same height u get something that has a straight back..... put it on the floor and make sure both are the same height... for an exact measurment :)

You can connect your electric guitar to your computer soundcard line or mic in with a hacked together cable, and use any one of many programs to get every effect
you could get from any effects box or any amp ever made just about.
Native Instruments Guitar Rig 3 is what I'm using with a realtek onboard sound chip (one of the new decent ones)
(there are tricks to getting it set up right for quick and accurate digital effects, but it's all well documented on the net)

Software can be found at a pretty good discount online if you shop around but is expensive as hell in a store.

I've got a strat copy that I got off ebay and was local for $!8, didn't need a card to pay for that... I also have one of the Epiphone Bob Marley limited edition guitars for that Gibson sound.

There are also usb guitars that come with very limited versions of sound fx software...not sure if they're any good though.

Anyway, just a thought....

You can also just plug one directly into your computer speakers inputs if you can get by without effects.

If only I had a clue of how to play them, I need to overcome my ADD type farting around and actually use the things right one of these days.

Oh well, they're fun to play with and look real cool on my wall. :)
