Wow! I can't stand for my pipe to get even a little bit dirty. I clean it about once a week, and I am not a heavy smoker. That had to taste pretty nasty!

obviously, i feel your pain. i once heard that you should plant your broken pipes in your garden as a blessing.

I broke one of my old glass spoons one time and it looked pretty similar inside. Don't smoke that crap. It's mostly garbage left over burnt plant material, tar etc. The actual "resin" that gets you high was burned off when you smoked the bud initially. That shit might get you a little high but it's mostly garbage.

WOW, i scrap out my glass pipes after every use and after 3 or 4 times. I smoke the resin i saved up. Gross hit but its an awesome one.

Then i place my glass in a mason jar filled with a product called Grunge Off. Its an awesome product, leave it in there for a couple hours and it comes out like it was brand new.

My thinking is if you have a clean peace you'll get better hits, cause i would think that the resin is just sticking to its self and not going to your lungs with a dirty peace.
