broken branch. please help!

hey all;
as i was changing the lighting setup in my room i accidentally applied too much pressure on one of the branches with buds on it and it snapped!
it's still holding tho it's not ripped and has no clear cuts on them but it feels broken (the branch isnt standing still anymore but bending at the place of the impact).
i read that in these case i can tape it back together but it's at a place with a small "popcorn" bud.
what's the best solution? could this snap affect the health of the whole plant?
thanks a lot

I dick around with bending way too much and have this problem on a regular basis. I use the bamboo sticks they sell at a lot of plant/hydro stores to prop the branch back into place by tying it to the bamboo with twisty ties. The plant should heal up fairly quickly. It may undergo a bit of shock, but the overall lasting effects should be minimal.

As long as the stem is still attached it will live. I wrapped mine in duct tape and cut a few drinking straws for support sort of like a splint. Within 10 days I could take the tape off and it had grew a knot where the snap was. I am pretty sure it actually helped the yield on that plant because it's ability to uptake nutes was increased.

yeah lol, what you did is literally an advanced growing technique that you may want to play with later in life.

i intentionally do it to all of my plants. it sets them into overdrive. supercropping is the shit.
