Something went bump in the night and I ended up with a broken branch, 2 days later almost all my hairs have turned orange should I clip it at the break or let her be? Please help, first time outdoor

depends on whether its ready, try using micropore tape and repair at the break, in time (if u have it), it will probably repair itself after a little stress,
or remove, quick dry and smoke!!

I have taped her up already but 65% of her hairs have changed colors. Do you think I should clip, dry and cure or wait?

are the leaves wilting? That's a sure sign that section is dying. If they arent wlting you are good to go. I had a tree fall on a few plants this year. One was smashed to the ground and split in several spots at the base. I staked her back up and she recovered. I was suprised to say the least.

You're not being a pest. This forum dies a premature death when people stop asking questions. The issue lies with the cambium layer. That is the layer just between the hard bark and the pulpy wood straws that make up the bulk of the stem. When the plant splits, if tho two pieces can be put back together with the cambium layer (or layers, as in two because it is now split) placed in perfect or as near perfect alignment and taped firmly together then the plant will almost always heal back with little or no problem. In your case the split was not discovered for two days? That;s a problem cuz the plant would have tried to protect itself by sealing the wound. If the wound is sealed then the cambium layers cannot bond together and fluid transfer cannot take place except through the stem which isn't broken in two. That may be enough to sustain it with the orange hairs just being a symptom of shock. In either case you'll know soon enough to either harvest or wait. Just keep an eye on it.

You da man thanx soooooo much! She didn't fully break, but bend yes, and shes pretty top heavy. All leaves on top are erect including fan leaves. The sudden change in the color of the hairs freaked me out, mainly because I clipped of few last week just to test it, and the hairs turned within a few hours so I didn't want to let it start to die. i have one I don't know seed and one that's some kind of purple strain. Just trying to get the feel, a little more understanding.

i've had several branches break at least half way off this year. tied them back up against the maine stem nice and tight, they healed back to it within a week or two. also during flowering.

no worries!
