After noting the influx of crazy ideas to push cannabis grows , i wanted to start a thread to have everyone post the most widely spread myths / methods you have to share.

No matter how ridiculous. Let’s finally get to the bottom of those old hippie ways / internet bullshit / friends told me / unicorn tears kind of misinformation . Should be fun.

- Plants need 30 bottles of liquid fertilizer to grow properly
- The more fertilizer added, the bigger yield you'll have
- Stabbing things into the plant makes noticeable difference in yield
- Soil, coco, peat are all the same
- Two day darkness at end of flower makes a noticeable difference
- Flushing makes taste better by removing excess nutrients from the plants
- There is lots to learn from the "master growers" on Youtube

Flushing removes excess nutrients from your buds and makes your smoke smoother and stops it crackling.

false.
you cannot remove nutrients from a plant once they have been taken up into the plant.

You can remove excess nutrients from your root zone in the case of over fertilisation.

That's really interesting; so it looks like the observed differences in the flushed plants were marginally higher quantity of less desirable concentrate, and marginally higher quantity of less desirable flower. I've only flushed one grow to date and it was only for a week, but it looks like that's the last time for me.
