Brown roots

Its prob a good idea to include some info on your setup, nutrients used and add some pics too...of setup and plants.
With the pics above I'd say root rot is starting, but thats if those roots are slimy and break easily.
Does the water smell 'off' compared to fresh you put in ?
What is the temperature of the water ?
How much air between water and medium holding the plant?
Be prepared to dismantle everything into cleanable pieces and do a few system flushes or it will probably come back fairly quickly.

Personally I would want to flower plants from seed over clones. But the reason I said it was because that’s not big enough to flower those plants in.

These are from seed, I just want to clone and flower so I know what I’ll run outdoor. I have flowered out of one gallon pots before, it’s not perfered but I’ll see the result I’ll need for my outdoor run. Normally I’d do 3 gallon pots.

Could this happen because I haven't been running air to oxygenate the water?
