BRS bad room syndrome

ok, im almost positive this is BRS ive got an EZI-GROW 2.4x1.2x2.0(m) white interior tent, im just wondering if anyone else has had plants begin to die when they put them in the tent? moved them about a week ago started flowering and now they look like shit, ive grown plenty of plants outdoor and a couple indoor, posted something similar before i thought it was BRS now id like to start a thread on the actual situation, if anyone has any info on this or pics of plants with this i will give +rep, thanks heaps for checking this out, ill show some pics of whats happening to my plants.....

ive moved them outside and ill give a report on what they look like tomorrow,

There was grwo tent out there within the last year that was known to cause toxic shit to happen to the plants, they have been recalled.....perhaps you have one of those???

Call the manufactor of your tent and let them know what is going on.

ive talked to the supplier and manufacter, the supplier assures me its PE not PVC and it wont harm my plants, the manufacter is in china, and my chineese isnt to geat, but in theyre site they explain how its PE, although this is the company that in australia had all the white tent problems, but they had the brown trim, not the green trim.... mine has the green trim... the supplier said she couldnt refund me scince she has had only 2 other people scince the tent has been changed from PVC to PE that have complained, and she has sold over 1000 tents with white interior.... she did how ever give me very large discounts on some new items for my grow room, this tent was also bought in a christmas sale....

anyone else got a ezi grow tent with white interior or and green trim??

I know what pvc is but not pe, could you fill me in on the differances?

I'd say to the person you talked to "2 folks in 1000 is too many."
Discounts are awsome though, but will you be able to grow in the tent again?

Could you take a piece of piping or whatever to a hardware or builders store to get confirmation on the material?
Just to be positive of the material that the tent is made of.

This growing stuff is big business so some manufacturers may fib about materials, their gain is more sales and more money.

I hope you can get through the funk your tent caused.

One more thing; hydro, flood and drain and other water growing systems are mostly always made of pvc piping, wonder why plants seem to be fine using that as pipes w/ water flow and it does not work with the tents.

yeah mate, its the heat that makes the difference, PE is polyethelene, the new safe alternative for PVC(everything PVC is being changed to PE slowly..), yeah i argued with this chick about a refund for ages and ages, she wuoldnt give in claiming the manufacter wont give her the refund so i cant get mine, i gave up in the end and took the discounts, im doing a test now... the plants have been outside for about 3 hours or so, i can already see the differene... and no idont think i can grow in my tent anymore, i dolike to vegwith cfls so i can still use it for that... but its a huge tent, 2.4 meters wide by 1.2 long.... ive got a shitload of mylar i bought with my discounts, was thinkng of lining it to stop the heat getting to the sides... but now im just thinking about building a shitty room out of some crap in my shed and some mylar... if anyone has covered their PVC plastic and got it to stop releasing gas... please let me know... or maybe leaving my centrafugal fan on all night?? iwill be doing some experiments in the coming weeks so there should be some usefull info on this thread for anyone else with offgasing issues.....

and the fact i got the tent on a "christmas sale" and then the tents left over went on a "summer sale" then the 1 tent left went on a easter sale should of told me all i needed to know about the quality of the materials used.... sometimes i just get 2 wacked to use my common sense.... or is that all the acid for breakfast????

Try growing veggies in it...?

tomato plants are weaker than pot.... the fumes released by PVC kill everything, even humans, these tents arnt only bad for your plants but also yourself, theres a guy on here who bought one and hes dog wouldnt go near the thing after a few days(better smell than us) he changed his tent to a mylar one and plants recovered and the dog stopped avioding it...

yay yay fuckin yay!!!!!! ezi range, who make the ezi tent... which is what im using, have just accepted the fact they fuckd up and are sending out mylar skins(no frame), its taken me 10 months of emails but my problem will be solved.... a note to anyone trying to get replacement/refund... BE NICE. ive been patient, never gone off the handle and just stated facts and given links and what not and its worked out well, ive gotton $300 dollars worth of discounts from the supplier and now a free skin from the manufacter, so this is almost a plus(dont think about the dead plants!!!!) but the other plants it killed was mongeral aussie bush that was that bad to smoke id sooner drink bong water to get stoned..... so all in all, its not that bad, atleast ive got ALL good equipment now, so ive got no excuses(dont hold that against me later)

that's good to hear, I will quote you on that. I got a white Ezi tent on special 6 months ago, and all the plants I have put in there start to go weird yellow after going perfect in another room. It looks like they will replace it, I hope I get the Mylar cover replacement!! I have only started using it and knew something wasn't right as they only started to get sick inside the new tent! I looked it up and found all this info about it. I feel terrible for what some of you have gone through it's total bullshit

Also you say the CFLs were still fine in there, so i've taken my HPS out and trying the CFL to do a new clone - hope that works. I will use it until I get a new one but I'm staying out of that room it peaks me out.

Was it from discount hydroponics on ebay? They've told me they should be able to get a replacement, but no promises.
