So I just built my own bubble cloner. Only have one problem.... What can i use as inserts to keep the cutting in place? I know you can use about anything I would just like something lightproof, heavy duty, and something reletivally in-expensive.... I made my own 6 site cloner just need inserts
Also I'm used to soil grows so, can someone explain how they clone this way and what's the best way for better root growth?

An exercise mat can be cut up. I've used a 3/4 inch mat before with good results. It cost about $30 and could make probably 1000 inserts. I've also read about people using the closed cell foam noodles people use in the swimming pool. You could get a pretty clean cut on those with a sharp knife.

I just cut portions of it into an appropriate size and shape to fit my cloners holes (off course make a cut in it for insertion and extraction of the clone).

I bought these, http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-Net-Pots-with-color-coded-inserts-Build-your-own-Cloner-30-Sets-Value-Plus-/181051122428?pt=Planters_Pots&hash=item2a277ce2fc
you can probably find them cheaper
I Cut the bottom of the pots off to transplant without losing the roots 2" net pots, cut holes in lid with 1 3/4" hole saw
I went to the dollar store and picked up a small Tupperware type storage container. cut 6 holes in the lid and drilled 1 hole at the collar for the airline. 6 of 6 clones rooted. I used Clonex.
