That could possibly be true..But.. Only thing is there was logic applied with this experiment. I remember in high school, science class more so, do you guys all recall: The theory, hypothesis, and conclusion? The main basis of how a experiment is orchestrated? I'll help you out just in case Frenchy since you helped us all out.
What is theory? Well there's a few different ones so I'll use Dictionary.com as ref on some parts.

- in theory, ideally; hypothetically:
- a proposition assumed as a premise in an argument.
- a mere assumption or guess.
- the end or close; final part.
- the last main division of a discourse, usually containing a summing up of the points and a statement of opinion or decisions reached.
So in closing, if I can answer the 3 MAIN points of what an experiment is, WITH applying logic (maybe you missed it in the earlier pages where this method was compared to a melting glacier), than I really don't see this as counterproductive. Counterproductive would be, me using warm water. Me using no ice what so ever. I feel that is counterproductive. But like they say, to each his own.. Some people do the cha cha, some like to swing, some like to breakdance, some like to do the twist, They are all dance moves. Do which ever makes you happy

No disrespect intended from my side either but you are most certainly not maximizing the process of sieving by your experiment. The reason behind freezing escape me as well. You should actually try to agitate your trims without ice but using ice cold water and you will avoid all the grinding ice cubes produce.

Sure I'll try that on Monday. I still have the same trim, I'll use 20g as well and see the results. Not sure how long the water will remain cold without ice but I'll try figure something out
Perhaps those stainless steel ice cubes could come into play. They are meant not to water down your whiskey when drinking.
I'll also do a traditional run ala Frenchy style and see the results as well!
Trust me, us Middle eastern folk are all about tradition. Question everything and shoot from the hip. Or in my case spear

To keep the water cold add ice cube handful by handful, as long as you have a few ice cube floating your water is cold enough. Shaved ice or snow work well.

so today I plan to do a normal bubble run. I will use 20 grams of trim, the same kind I've used on the last two batches. the trim soak for about 20 minutes before I start mixing, I'll let you all know how it goes!

So I weighed the hash, the outcome was.. a .8-.9, so I basically yielded the same amount compared to the Alpha Tech. Keep in mind though I ran it 3 times to get that yield.. I'll try to take pics under the scope to see if quality was better/worse!

Did you do both with the same trims split in two, otherwise comparing would be difficult

Yes sir, I had ~1-2lbs of the same trim. I grabbed 20g from the same bag to try both methods. Yields were very close to each other. Quality wise as well which I'm glad to hear.

you should use the 190 and the 160 at least too. Just looks like there's a lot of stalks in there. Not pure heads. Otherwise it looks great.
Stalks are half melt and leave behind a black residue on a nail.

For sure there are a good amount of stalk, but at least it's pretty white stalk lol. Jk jk sure I'll sure the 160 on the next run. I usually do the 220,190, & 25. So I'll add the 160 to clean a little more. The
last time I used 160 though, nothing was in it so I figured I'd skip it. But I'll add it just to filter as a just in case.
You were correct though, they did half melt and left black on the nail. But to be honest it still tasted good and I was happy. I think with this trim, I might just water hash the rest instead of oil it.
Next time then, we do the traditional route ala Frenchy and use the 220,190,160,70,25. 190 and 160 I'll rosin if anything is in the. Then the 70 and 25 I'll hoard to myself lol.

I suggest anyone and everyone to get at least 5 gallon bags by the way. I got the 1 gallon ones and they are just way too small. I almost question their size of being truly 1 gallon. Big pain in the ass to collect. Think I might buy new bags already lol.

man thats cool though that it came out as well as it did with no agitation. I can't wait to get my next grow started when I get my own house. then Ill be able to get all the trim I need to practice my water tech cus I am not very good at it last I tried but I LOVE hash. one of my favorite ways to smoke.

Thanks everyone! I plan to do another run this week hopefully! I'll probably do a traditional style run and use the 220, 190, and 160. I might throw the 73 also but still debating. Then I might use the 45 and 25 as well. I was looking at pics from my other run where I used the 45 as the catch. A lot more heads and less stalk compared to the 25. So still deciding!

I have some gg4 premature buds I'd like to run some alpha tech with within the next few days. I made some fresh frozen with it (only was flowered for 28 days) and it came out incredible which blew my mind. Will see how the alpha tech comes out with dry product next
