Bubble hash tea?

Has anyone ever made a good successful tea out of bubble hash water? This is the second time I've tried this and it has came out great both times. After washing my bubble I usually collect the second or third wash water and use that to make tea. What I do is take it and boil it on the stove for at least 20 minutes to kill off whatever may be in there. I use filtered ice and drinking water to make my hash so it's already fairly clean. After I'm done boiling it I take it and run it through coffee filters to clean out whatever residuals are left behind. In the end I'm left with terpy water that's great for sitting back in the drinking some tasty marijuana tea. Just add honey, sugar, and lemon. Let me know what you guys think or if you have any better suggestions.

sounds like it could be really good. at first I was kinda grossed out but I'm going and buying Ice and have really clean water.

Why the second or third wash? don't want to get to much sludge? I could also see the really high and low washes sucking for this, and getting to much sludge.

do you get high off it?

My idea of using the second or third wash is to eliminate dust or dirt that was stuck to the plants material. Almost every single Micron is a melter. I wasn't really expecting much of a high off of it due to running it through Brita and coffee filters I figured it would eliminate most of the t h c. But it does have a nice calm and relaxing body high. I've been giving it to bunch of my buddies which have all liked it. Some say it doesn't even taste like weed but black tea.

so as someone who is an indoor grower so you think it's needed to wash it to get the dirt out? a little dirt never hurt anyone.

Aren’t all cannabinoids and terpenes oil based? That makes them insoluble in water doesn’t it?
That’s what I read anyway.
Nothing wrong with using it for tea though, I just wouldn’t expect to get anything from it high wise. Probably some vitamins in there.

I have concerns over the boiling temps burning off the THC. 212 degrees minimum for water to boil. 220 for decarb. If you go too high with the temp of the water you are screwing yourself.

You’d need a pressure cooker to get over 212F with water. In a boiling pot water reaches 212 and then turns to steam doesn’t it?
You use water in extractions to keep the temps down. As long as the water doesn’t boil off the solution will stay below the temp where the THC vaporizes off. I used to extract THC into olive oil by boiling water, weed and olive oil for 24 hours. Strain the liquid, cool it, and the oil and THC float on top of the water. Freeze the liquids and scoop off the oil.
THC isn’t water soluble or this wouldn’t work; I’d be chucking it out with the water at the end. It gets infused into the oil by the heat over time. You can still fuck it up if you cook over 320-340 F with your extracted THC. Any temps around 160C/320F are right where THC starts to vaporize.

Im thinking you will need some milk in your tea to help pull thc into it.

Didn't really make it to get high, just wanted some good tasting marijuana water. LOL

Wtf. If you want good tasting marijuana water. Just put a bunch of buds ina tea screen/bag There ya go. I feel like your drinking cannabis waste. Makes me gag thinking about it.
