They grow way too tall with 22 hours of sunlight. They stretch. Then they finally stop and start flowering. But by mid-September you have to watch for the first freezes.

what strains/breeders have your tried ? I believe originally the whole point behind ruderalis was to grow in climates like Alaska. As auto's have become more popular and mainstream I think that original idea my have been lost somewhere with a lot of new strains.
(edit) Btw, have you thought about maybe trying to grow indoor for the first few weeks and xplant outdoor after ? Requires a lot less light and space if you do it that way and not be stuck with big plants indoor at the end.
