Bucket (Gravity) bong adjustment/perfect head

Sorry, been reading and you guys have missed a trick with your gravity bongs...!

What you need is socket/ratchet heads - 1/2" or 13mm 19072-10mm-19mm-1-2-inch-square-drive-hi-torque-7-piece-socket-set-on-socket-rail-454-p.jpg
A gauze
A length of pvc tube big enough to go over the bottom of your socket head.
A piece of thick wire (coat hanger)

Now, take your socket set piece, apply the gauze to the wider end and shove the thinner end into the pvc tube.

Cut the tube to 2" shorter than your bottle.

Make a spiral from your wire so that it supports the walls of your bottle if you are greedy and use a 3-5Ltr.

Job done. You now have Jahulath's "Hubbly Bucket" - I have never seen or heard of this design anywhere else but used to smoke like this a LOT as a teenager.
The thing will pull oddly but easier and smoother than a regular bucket bong, it will not let air through until the bottom of the tube is above the waterline so you have a 2" window of opportunity, just hold it there and let it do it's thing - all the wasted of a drainer (much thicker smoke) with the smoothness of a regular bong!

Et voila.

Me and a couple buddies built one with a 5 gallon bucket but decided using that much bud, which will go stale if the air is not sealed in the container, would be better in a blunt. We had ended using 4 bowl pieces drilled into a bucket lid and we all would have used a lighter.

Metal is bad to be burning or inhaling. So i tend to use a glass slide (7$ at a head shop) and any glass bowl i have laying around.

And you don't need the pvc or wire. I melt the slide right into the bottle cap and that's it. Blunts do work best with this method so you don't have to constantly reload. I never get extra air unless the blunt isn't in securely or I accidentally pull the bottle out of the water. I've been smoking my roaches this way for nearly a decade.
