Bucket Size?

Hey everyone,

I have a plant that is currently in a 3 gallon bucket but I want to use it as my Mother plant and get plenty of clones indefinitely of course which means transplanting into a bigger bucket. I was thinking that a 5 gallon bucket would let the plant get very large (it is now only about 9 inches) but an not sure how big it would be able to get in a 5 gallon, should I go bigger. I would like to end up with a 5 foot or so plant before it is over. I know that will take a long time but why not. Any opinions/information would be greatly appreciated.

five gallon would do it but a seven would be on a safer side if you want to get indefinite clones..

How far do you think a 7 gallon will go. What I mean is how tall/think do you think the plant will get in that?

It depends on the strain.
