Bucket size?

Sorry if you read this already but I put it on a wrong form.

Hi guys and gals, I just got my medical script uped hugely
and I'm not sure on Bucket size for my room. I currently have
A 100 plants in 15 gal buckets in a 25x25 ft main room. I use
The bending tie down method and end up with monster bushes.
Today it was uped and between my wife and I we can have 340
Plants now. I'm stuck on bucket size and want to here what you
Have to say. Thanks here are a couple picks. image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

15 gallon is plenty.
5 would work just fine.

With that many plants, I'd consider going hydro.
That's a LOT of work for sick people.

Looks good! I assume when you ask your are looking for more room in your grow area? 15 gallon seems big but your plants look great. I have seen plants that big grown in 7 gallon smart pots. Might be an option for you too.

...since your space is limited, 5 gallon buckets are sufficient.

on the flip-side - 15 gal buckets will give your plants height, I'd use 5gal to keep them shorter and bulkier...

I live in B.C Canada. With 340 plants you guys think 5 gal is
the way to go. Not even smaller like 3gal? How I have my rows
theyre 4 tables ,one table a row and a foot off the ground wwitch run
25ft long by 4 ft wide. In between each row I have about a
3 ft wide walk way.

Also I forgot to say my plants in the 15 gal are 2.5x2.5ft wide by about 2.5 ft high. They're all tied down and have somewhere between 20and30 main colas . I'm thinking more on the line of sog. Hight is limited considering I have 8ft ceilings.

Room is essential. With the 100 plants done this way there is no room. They take up more room than 1000 plants done sog method in 1gal pots.

Id seriously consider going hydro with that many. If youre not into hydro maybe find some 3 gallon square trash bins that should give you more useable space.

You look like you know what youre doing....what about half vertical half horizontal? You could run bare bulbs or vertical and horizontal bulbs in cool tubes and make it like a stadium with horizontal plants in similar area to what you have now and verticalish plants going up like the pull out highschool gym seating. That way you could get in under some for maintenance and watering ect.

Ive never done such a room but have pondered it a bit.

By the way right now im doing one and a half gallon hempy which are fairly similar to soil and it would be completely doable in 3 gallon pots to grow 4+ ounce plants per pot without serious rootbinding issues. If youre used to month + veg times using your 15 gallon pots id say you would need to cut your veg at lest in half but you know that.

You running 15k watts or are those 600s? I had two rooms with a total of 15k watts and 99 total plants (US federal minimums) and found that NFT system built with rubbermaid tubs and 4 inch pvc piping in U shape config was the easiest. Far less hauling of supplies/disposal of supplies just hooked a hose up and some 2x4 framing. Not sure your weight goals or what you pull but it wasnt hard at all to pull 4 ounces a plant with 12 plants per pvc U and 40 gallon tub. With a 2 week veg.

Anyway real nice room you have and good luck.

Thanks for your thoughts. I'm using 1000w hortilux eyes bulbs. No point me doing vertical grow. I'm pull 2/2.5 lbs a light normally doing sog method. Since its more strict now trying new method and going bigger but not sure yield size until middle of June. From what I gained through fellow friends I still should pull the same. Right now 3gal pots are what I'm thinking about switching to, but if you guys have more info then by all means share. I'm not an idiot who thinks I know everything about this stuff, there is always someone smarter. Now to find that person through all the b.s.
