Bud as big as a two litre

I grew some White Widow yrs ago and it grew multiple 2 liter bottle sized colas on one 30" plant without any pinching etc. Topped it a couple times and let her rip. I'd think it to be a combination of genetics, environment and feed more so than any method you apply to it.
I cant really see how pinching would do anything but slow growth? Instead of the plant directing its energy towards fat colas, its repairing itself where it has been damaged. Only time I can really imagine pinching a plant being beneficial is to reduce stretch or something.

Always wanted to grow this funny looking bastard.
Last I checked I couldn't get seeds for it.

How did it turn out?
Quit nice actually! I liked the sativa buzz from it, a lot....so did friends at the time.

It looks funny while it's developing the calyx structure. You know she's done when they swell up and swallow the pistils. Good plant to use to show what "done" is as far as swollen calyx's and receded pistils look like...

Um, You should check out Midweek Song. They're an advertiser here. They have Grinspoon seeds (Barney's)...... Yup, just checked. Single beans and 10 packs...

Hmm, I might just have to do it again!

Hey man thanks alot for the reply!
I don't know why I thought it was discontinued, I must have just had a hard time finding it before, but I'll definitely be scooping up some of those soon.
Did you find much variation between phenotypes?

A little,,,I had some (most) that would be the classic single calyx per node (lots of nodes) and a more stacked version that would collect several of those big ass calyx's per node.
Some minor leaf pattern differences.
That's about it.

I'm experimenting with some weird light schedule and so far it's producing result which got derailed by the freaking hurricane and I'm just trying to finish this grow in spite of all the problem its going through atm.

Good news though, not a single plant have hermied yet

What is the light schedule you're trying out? If you don't mind me asking?

Well I really dont want to put it out yet since I havent really got it dialed in yet. The next step is to test my madness on a low yield well known strain to see if the result is universal. So if this experiment is a fail in general, then no harm done...it's just my plants that got fucked up. As you can you see I like to experiment, not great at following the crowd.

Second reason why I didnt put it out is.... I dont want to hear 'why it wont work' comment. Like I said its my experiment, I can deal with failures.

BTW the previous attached picture is a low yielding bagweed, I could hardly make it form a decent cola from my last grow. I'm using the same bagweed, same light equipment, nothing changed there.

And since you're asking nicely... the only thing I change are a couple of grow tweaks(specially nute) and my light schedule. I've done a lot of research in regards to flowering structure (not just cannabis), you can say there's real science behind my madness (theoretically).

Im still using 12/12 (or 13/10) but the experiment part is..... one day in a flowering week...I exposed my plants to half my light intensity as long as 16 hrs or more, the next day, back again to my normal light intensity for 12 hrs. I do this every week.

That's it....plus some secret stuff atm

Here's a couple more pics

To think that these plants almost died due to Irma

oh yeah...plus i pinch those buds

just kidding :bigjoint:
I don't pinch my buds, but I hug them real tight everyday and let them know they're loved :P

No problems not wanting to give away your experiential practices just yet, I get it. On the internet everything gets shot down and laughed at by someone.
Just make sure you pass on your secrets if this shit works! ;-)
Wish you all the best for your grows I love to experiment too, not many great discoveries have been made by following the crowd.

You did it....you just revealed that secret to the new growers
Not a secret. And not the choice of real growers anywhere....The whole idea and the spreading of this crap,,,makes my head hurt - Just like mackdx.

Run your veg at 24/0, You should have a 24 dark period before flipping, and don't forget to defoliate. Then 48 hrs of darkness before harvest and don't forget to use molasses in your flush, or just molasses with your feed for the last weeks....I'm sure I left some other wonderful questionable to down right BS things out. So feel free to try Mountain Dew on them and don't forget the spooge foliar! Like when a worker was picking his nose in the old op. "Hey, Jeff! You know what? Put that under the leaves at the top of the plant. That'll keep mites and molds away!" He looked at his finger and then the plant and said, "Your kidding, right?"

Lots of us have tried it, lots of years ago, and it does not grow bugger buds, its superstitious bullshit. Besides, volume is not equal to weight. All you are doing is wasting the plants energy on repairing damage. I am a big dude and have grown countless colas as big as my arm without really trying anything fancy. I grow healthy plants and don't sweat anything else. Cannabis is just a fucking plant, weed farmers could learn a lot from commercial agriculture if we stopped spreading mythological bullshit, like you are. Just a plant, not some magical beast from another dimension.

Right and my plants grew larger buds due to repair nothing wrong with experimenting on a few.
Before you start this again.....Where's the pictures?
I know thats all that matters just an experiment and question you all blew out of per portion. So what is your yield people. Got 6lbs 50 plants need pictures or am I making this shit up huhj? OG knows he's smoking the best on the planet #1 IN MY BACKYARD IN THE HOOD
