so its flowering time and I know my girls need some extra oomph and I have Big Bud and Big Bloom on hand but I've been reading up on Bud Candy and how it gives your flowers more carbs that they need in flower production. Does anyone here have an opinion on what is best during this time? Should I wait and give the Bud Candy the last couple of weeks of flowering?

When it comes to nutrients, it seems that people like whatever they are using best. There is definitely no consensus best or even better nutrient. I would suggest taking your pick and running with it.

let me try and clear this non sense for you, first off, plants don't use carbs. You need to understand the difference between organic and synthetic gardening, you choose one, but not both.
organic, your going to feed the soil and the soil feeds the plant, the soil has good fungi and bacteria which need the proper carbs and sugars to live and breed.
synthetic, you provide all the food to the plant. No need for carbs, sugars, bud candy, mykco or any of that crap, just a good balanced fert.

If you nevertheless decide to try getting some carbs into the soil, just use unsulfered blackstrap molasses. You can get a bottle in the grocery store for about three bucks, and you use 1ml/gal. But, Chuck is right.

If you like the foxfarm nutes. I suggest getting the tigerbloom, beastie bloom, cha ching, and open sesame for your flower production. They are meant to work in concert and formulated that way. Mixing and matching can be difficult to achieve good results.

As for the carbs, The molasses does contain trace minerals like Iron and sulphur that the plant does use.
