Bud Density. Help please?

A quick question please for you guys more experienced than me?

I've recently harvested my first grow and had excellent success with the advice from this site. Skunk No1 grown indoors in soil under a 400w lamp. Everything went perfectly except for one tiny thing.

Although my buds look, smell, taste and smoke amazing, they aren't very dense. What looked like about 40-50g per plant dried weight actually ended up being around 20g per plant.

I'm delighted with the quality and grow number 2 is under way, but I'm concerned how quickly this stash is getting used up due to the lack of density in the buds.

Hopefully a few tips from you guys will set this right?

Best advice i can give you is check your light spacing between light bulb and top of the plants. If it is too far away buds tend to do this. Also try big bud by advanced nutrients and bud blood as well.

Thanks for replying man. So far I've jut been reading other threads but this is the first question I've posted.

Sound advice, so I'll look into changing my flowering food.

Anyone else with any good tips on this subject I'd be much obliged!

What kind of light did you use?

yeah sounds like a light problem. either the light isnt close enough or it isnt powerful enough for the space youre using it in
