Bud-N-Bloom Booster from Cottage Farms.. never used it b4, few questions.

Hey everyone. Hope everyone is having a good week so far.. at least today is hump day!! Half way through the work week.

I have today and tomorrow off from work.. and I'm spending both days doing research and reading up on nutrients and the different types that are available for Cannabis growing.

I was rummaging through my garage and found a huge container. Its 'Cottage Farms - Bud-N-Bloom 15-30-15.

Bud-N-Bloom Analysis

Total Soluble Nitrogen (N) - %15.00
Ammoniacal Nitrogen - %5.46
Nitrate Nitrogen - %4.92
Urea Nitrogen - %4.62

Available Phosphoric Acid - %30.00

Soluble Potash (k20) - %15.00

Trace Elements - Boron - %0.02
Copper(Chelated) - %0.05
Iron(Chelated) - %0.10
Manganese(Chelated) - %0.05
Molybdenum - %0.001
Zinc(Chelated) - %0.05Inside the container, its kinda cool how they packaged them. There is about 30 total packets left.. inside the container. Each packet contains a certain amount of nutrients inside the packet.. each packet is transparent so you can see the nutrients inside the packet. It says to use 1packet per gallon of water.. like a milk jug I would suppose.

Anyhow, I have my last Nirvana Ice plant growing right now.. and I have her in the sexing cycle. She hasn't started to actually flower just yet.. as she's only been under 12/12 lighting schedule for 5 days to be exact. So, I guess my question is this..

Should I use these for feeding during flowering? 15-30-15..

I would guess it would be just fine.. since right now she's still needs plenty of Nitrogen.. and the other nutrients. Now, if she was like in her 5th or 6th week of flowering.. I wouldn't want as much.. if any Nitrogen in the mix.. since Nitrogen is mainly used by plants.. too only help produce foliage (leaf growth)... which plants don't need once they get about to the halfway point into flowering.

Just wondering if anyone has any input on this.

yep, even the more experienced growers still ask questions from time to time.

which just goes to show all you new growers.. that no matter how long you've been

growing.. there's always going to be times where you learn something new..and times

where you need too ask a question.

I don't think there is an answer. Whether to use it, and how much to use depends on the NPK ratio you're already achieving with your base nutrients, what ratio you wish to hit, for how long. For example, someone using a fertilizer with NPK *ratio* of 1-1-1 might want to use a little bloom booster starting in early flower, and work their way up to be at 1-2-2 at the end (that's what I do, see my sig). On the other hand, if someone followed a boutique "schedule" which produces 1-2-2, they probably shouldn't use the booster at all. Or, just a little once or twice to touch 1-3-2 (if they really wanted to do a "bloom booster").

This spreadsheet will help you see the NPK ratio you're feeding, and how adding the above product changes it.

Too much N, not enough K. Wouldn't use that as a bloom booster ever.

If you want a good bloom booster, fox farm beasty bloomz. 0-50-30 feed, use twice in the middle of flowering (once during week 5, again during week 6).

Guaranteed to add 15-20% bud density. Been using the stuff for years, it will turn "airy/fluffy" buds into rocks.
