These pics are crap I know you cant really see what Im talking about but in the first one the top of the bud is kinda brown. Im only 3 weeks into flowerng. The rest of my plants are fine, and in fact the rest of the buds on this plant are fine too. I was thinking maybe too close to the light so Ive moved the light up a little. It was 6" from the tops which I thought was ok.

The second pic is one of my other plants.

Place your hand on top of your plants to test the heat from your light, if it is hot on your hand, too hot for the plant. Move it up until it is not too hot on your hand.:peace:

It wasn't too hot for my hand but I moved it up anyway because its the only thing I can think might be the problem

its heat dammage moving the light will help but the dead parts are just that dead so they will not recover at that spot but the rest will be fine.

It happened to me once, lol. I just picked the burnt parts off and the rest was fine. Live and learn.:peace:

yeah its a 400w hps. So should I just leave it alone, and cut off the dead part at harvest? The light is at about 8" now. Do you think thats enough?

For me an HPS should be at least 12" On the bigger watts you'll see the lights at 18-22" away.....

Does it have a cool tube on it? If not I would even go 10 or more above to be safe. Those get really hot.:peace:
