Bud rot, same as mold? pic included

Was having an issue, found dark patches on my buds, thot it was mold...

couldnt get a picture, bc i was high a few days ago and sold my camera to somebody at the bar... for some quick cash, duh me

but anyway on ganja guerilla. com

they had a pic on there... that looks exaclty like mine see attached

so is this mold or just rotting from somthing else? that i can stop in future

Is it well ventilated around the plants? Are you misting? Usually water sitting on the buds causes rot.

i misted a few times bc i misted almost 5 time s aday during veg

no i do NOT mist... after seeing the rot.

i asked wether i shuld mist flowering plants.... no one answered... now im fucked

Misting during flowering is a no-no. How far along are they, and how much of your crop is covered. All may not be lost.

^Listen to those guys. Also, make sure to cut that top off before it spreads.

Also, cut back on the water after good-sized buds have formed. Also, some strains have really dense buds, and are prone to bud mold. Sometimes, they will get bud mold right after flushing, if you're not careful. Velvet Kush is like that. I flush it in the beginning of bloom, feed it lightly with every watering, then give it straight water for the last 2 - 2 1/2 weeks. I never had a problem with harsh taste, etc... when i do it like that.

just two bud had it. on 2 diff plants cut both off pretty quickly.

cut out the water? u mean feeding or misting?

i watrer them eveyr other day

they were planted in sept 14, went into flower oct 14, jan 14 will be 4 months total

Don't stop watering the plants themselves, just no more mist. Hunt through the rest of the buds well, cut out anything questionable. keep a fan blowing on them from here out, you're almost done. Some might say to just harvest now as preventative measure. Either way, watch them carefully while drying. Personally, I would smoke the stuff. Some might be concerned about remaining spores. If you are worried, search the forums for water curing. It tastes nasty, but some say that it renders moldy buds viable.
