I've read somewhere that u can use milk mixed with water in ratio 1 to 5 as well. Can some one confirm that?

amazing post. Very well explained! This year I had a mini outbreak on a few of my gurls, I followed directions similar to these and the results have been very good. All my ladies are healthy and are approaching the finishing line! Number 1 rule - Inspect, Inspect, Inspect... & Keep them lower branches off the ground!

Amazing post. Getting attacked now. And yup, im guilty of spore spreading:wall:. Gonna lose a bunch. The morning dew is almost worse than the rain. Frikn buds are soaked every morning. So pissed off bout this.

It's 2012 and still having issues with bud rot. Cleaned the area now I need to desinfect it. The plant had some underwater issue for a day while I was gone and the big fan leaves around the bud kept the moisture in the bud.
I hope to have no other bud rot cases :)

Check plant daily. I see alot of new threads popping up about mold. I have had problems with the my main colas trying to mold because the density allows for mold spores to get inside the bud where there is no light and the mold just eats the bud from the inside out. To combat this, I get in there and bend the buds away from each other and try to create paths for light to get down in the colas. It has helped. There is an old saying that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. In the case of mold, there is not much cure you can do once it hits. You gotta get rid of the infection and hope to hell it dont spread. Use anti-fungals featuring copper sulfate and remain vigilant. good luck.

I'm currently dealing with bud rot and the raising of temps and lowering of RH should be mentioned as counter measures. Indoor grows obviously. I had one bud with rot and since raising the temps 25-26C and lowering the RH (!) to 32% it hasn't spread. been two-three days now so it's a little early to tell, but IMO changing the conditions from favorable to unfavorable should be top priority, where applicable ofc.

This is my second time with bud rot and both times I've watered more than necessary just before the outbreak. Also, I've read that they use UV light on roses to prevent bud rot.

AND spraying any kind of humidity on the buds seem crazy to me. Especially in a bud rot situation.

Thank you for the informative post Kayuman, we just found some bud rot but are still a week or two away from harvest and want to try to let it ride if possible for maturity and potency. I freaked out but decided to research before going all Edward Scissorhands and I'm glad I did. Thanks again!
