Hey guys found a caterpillar eating a bud and making a mess so I cleaned out all the area it looked like it had been. I’m wondering if I have to chop the whole bud or if I cleaned it enough to not be a problem.
Would it be safer to just cut the top off and anything that might’ve been close to it? I got everything that was directly touching it and have sprayed it but I’d rather not have to pray lol if I chopped the rest of everything in that pic would it be guaranteed or still just chancing it?
I found a couple worms eating the buds in my outdoor plants, I cut those buds off and discarded them. I fed the bud worm to my hens They left telltale signs that the had been munching my plant, all the hairs on the buds they got to gone or very very short and leaves with a lot of holes. It took me some time, but I inspected every plant and found three worms out of six plants. I have preventatively sprayed spinosad every 7-10 days all season too
