hello growers of the world , CG is here :leaf:

today i was harvestin a plant that i've waited so long to harvest...she has the most big cola from all my crops.

im harvestin - all good .. young n wild n free , and then i discover that i have rot on some of the main cola ! , G , that was such a bummer.
any way , i put all the rot bud aside n i wonder if i can make hash from it (bubble bag with all the trim) , is there a problem with the fact that it's rot ?

happy 420 everybody

I take it was in bloom since he said he chopped it down today.. You can...I hear ISO is the best way with bud rot but thats just what Ive herd

I highly advise cutting it out and disposing of it . This could lead to mold development as well as it is already suffering from Necrosis and this will just aide fungal growth even more so ..

Better safe than sorry .. Every grower will have his rot or mold to deal with eventually and the loss is just part of the game in the end :)

Lots of replies, doesn't seem like you've had your question answered though.

From what I can tell from the research I have done on the issue. The mould spores will not transfer to the hasish. The more extreme the method of separation, the more mould spores will be removed from the product (ice extraction will remove more than simple sifting). The mould that causes bud rot will not cause resin to decompose - but it will cause any vegetative matter within the resin to decompose. The purer the hash, the less mould will be in it. I can't see there being much mould in it whatever method you use though; as long as what you are left with is primarily resin.

It is likely to be harmful smoking mould. But extracted resin should not contain mould. Be careful not to adulterate any hash making equiptment with mould spores, and to wash it thoroughly if you do.
