BUD : To Trim or Not to trim

So I have been hanging out with my friends a lot here lately, and 2 of them have been bitching how there are leaves on the buds they're smoking. They say the people who are trimming them "trim them too soon" and say that you are supposed to dry your weed for 2 weeks after harvesting Then trim the leaves off them because, according to these friends, leaves continue to grow for 2 weeks after being cut from the plant.

Me personally, I think they are full of shit because LEAVES CANT GROW WITHOUT LIGHT!!!!!!!!

I mean, unless people who are supplying us are drying their weed out in the sun or under grow lights, then the leaves still being on bud means someone just wanted some extra weight and didnt trim every damn leaf off!

Anyone agree with me?

Or anyone wanna prove me wrong and my friends right?

f- that , trim them up as your cutting down the plant, if you wait a couple days the trim job becomes 10x harder, all the leaves almost lay down wrapping up the bud rather than sticking straight out to be easily clipped.

and ive never heard of leaves continuing to grow after the plant has been chopped.

I've bought some weed that had nice popcorn buds still wrapped around a bit of leaves, logic being some of the trics on the buds are protected.

For mine, I trim nice and smooth and leave only a small fan leaf on my hanging branches/buds.

Whoever told you that, is clueless.

trimming is to be done, as soon as you chop the plant. period.

waiting (especially two fucking weeks) is just ignorant IMO.

All the experienced people, including myself.. we know what we're doing... and we ALL trim fairly quickly after harvesting.

As the one person said, waiting until the plant is dried.. yeah.. that's just going to make the trimming job 100x harder and more time consuming.

And lastly.. your "friends" apparently don't know ANYTHING about growing cannabis.

Leafs CANNOT continue to grow two weeks after a plant has been chopped.. thats the most retarded thing I've ever heard..

IMO, If I were you.. I'd find some smarter friends bro... because apparently your "friends" don't know the first thing about plant biology.

so again, I agree with everyone else. And I hope you take what I have just said.. into consideration. ;)

peace.

Damn if I based my friendships on knowledge of plant biology, I don't think I'd have any friends.

Tell your friends they are partially right, but it is the bud and not the leaf that continues to grow and that you'll be charging an extra 3% to makeup for this extra weight growing on their buds they haven't been paying for.

Thanks everyone. Now I can call my friends out next time they say to trim buds 2 weeks later rather than right after picking the buds.
