Budget Samsung grow

After 110 degree summers I wanted to test out something lower wattage for my home tent from my old 600w HPS set up so I wouldn’t have to run my portable AC as much. Did research between CMH and high efficiency LEDs. Hit up Alibaba and ordered 2 lights from Kingbrite 500w of lm561b Samsung diodes.

This grow:

4x8 ipower cheap tent
3x6 tray
18 Sundae drivers in rock wool on a drip system (drain to waste)
Bootleg HLG550

I’m 1 week after transplant on 18 Sundae Drivers. Lights are now cranked up to 500w and these things are eating a shit ton of nutrients. I’m at 1050ppm after showing nutrient deficiencies at 600 and 800ppm lol. Other than that they are really liking the light and veg growth is noticeabley better than what I’ve seen with my metal halide veg bulb

I’ve gotten a couple PMs about light costs and performance. Just in case anyone else is curious I paid $750 for both lights (full kit) shipped to me and they included everything even meanwell drivers and dimmers.

Whether or not they’re truly top bin lm561c diodes I have no real clue, and I doubt I’d be able to notice a actual diff in growing. Plus at the savings I got, I don’t even care.

I can say that it’s considerably more light than my 600s produce, but I don’t have a working light meter at the moment. Also spectrum is 3500k.

I plan on throwing up a couple more tents in my office or building out one of the rooms in my warehouse to test between 630 CMH lights, China Samsung LEDs, and probably a couple Chilled or PLC 600w options before this grow is over (probably feb) to test performance of each light group on the same cuts and nutrients as I couldn’t decide between them to begin with .

What's your feed formula?? They look super happy!
And I was going to buy a CMH off Alibaba until they told me shipping was $170 for a $160 light.
