Budman's third 400w grow. Going all organic!

Well hello everyone. I would like to welcome you all to my third grow. I began germinating a couple of seeds on November 13. The seeds I germinated were another wwxbb and a chocolope. They had taproots the next day. I planted as soon as I saw tap roots. Sunshine lc1 mix was a little hot out of the bag so I flushed it a little before planting anything with properly soil phed water.

Both seeds sprouted on November 17 and I finally got my tent in the mail and began to set everything up.

My setup looks like this now.

A 3x3 tent and I also have a 400w air cooled light with a 190 cfm inline fan sucking air into the filter and out of the tent. Temps stay around 70-77 constantly under 24/7 of light.

Here are a few shots from earlier to show the seedlings.
Chocolope on the right in the airpot I got off eBay for 6$ and the wwxbb cross on the left in the store bought plastic pot. Going to run an experiment to see the root development in plastic vs airpots. (I know different strains etc, but I just want to compare)

The soil is a top layer of about 60% happy frog smart naturals organic soil with mycorrhizae in both pots and about 40% super soil in the bottom later of both pots that I threw together and let cook for 90 days.

Picked up a bottle of Alaskan fish emulsion today for 4$. And 3 4lb bags of epsoma flower tone for .99 each for future super soil amendments. Couldn't pass it up on clearance at my local tractor supply so I bought them all lol. Thought I would try out the emulsion in my organic recipe and see the results. Heard lots of good things about it but boy does it stink! Lol

Not much going on in the tent. The second set of leaves are beginning to develop. The wwxbb seems to be growing faster but the chocolope Is right behind it! That's all for today folks. Stay tuned. Great organic bud porn in the future!

Coming from me a chemical grower, I'm glad I switched to organic. It's a cheaper and easier way to grow so far for me. The ability to add 'water only' appealed to me. And I took off from there. I think with the right knowledge you can grow great quality medicine and be earth friendly at the same time. I had a hard time with the nute regimen and what not, but with this organic it's simple. I'll be glad to give you any tips from what I've learned so far if you need any advice. Feel free to ask me any time my good friend.

Here are my baby's 13 days from sprout. Both are doing great in my opinion.
Dropped a very small amount of fish emulsion into there watering and they responded great over the last couple of days with new growth emerging daily and looking very lush. My chocolope believe it or not already has the slightest pungent smell to her. It's wicked!
Edit: I just noticed the curling of the leaf blades on the wwxbb. Does anyone know if this is anything serious and what could it be?

Fimed both plants yesterday. They seemed to take to it well. Both side shoots are taking off.

Gave them there booster of 1 tsp fish emulsion today. We'll see how they take to it.

Day 24 of veg. They are looking good! Going to throw in my scrog screen soon, and begin flowering these babies.

Still haven't figured out what's going on with the white widow leaves. Anyone want to chime in?

Day 27 of veg from sprout. Got the screen in place. Ready for these babies to hit the screen and start flowering! It's going to be a fun ride! Credit to my lovely lady for making me a screen! She may have her green thumb showing! Haha

Yea M8, it comes and goes. I have been here almost 3 years and it has been that way since I joined. Always slows down a bit through the holidays...imo

Day 30 of veg. Screen is filling up quicker and quicker everyday. The white widow is a bushy ass bitch! Just like the last time I grew her. She'll be a heavier yielder this time around I believe! Think I'll flip the switch at around day 40-45 not sure. We'll see how full the screen is later on down the road.

It is so kewl to watch them blow up and take over a screen. When you give them what they need, it can stagger the mind just how much they can grow in 24hrs. This is from Sept 3rd to 19th (16 days).

Very nice! I cracked up at the darth vader chilling on top of the lights. What strains are you running? They are going quick!

That round was Tangerine Dream, Blackberry, Green Love Potion and Afghan Kush. I just harvested the Blackberry, it took almost 12 weeks to get right.

Very nice! I am starting my flowering tonight. The wwxbb is taking over!! I noticed my chocolope has been growing rather slowly so I inspected it and seen this leaf. I took it as a nitrogen deficiency at first and watered it with the fish emulsion. And then I foliar fed some Epsom salts after realizing it kinda looks like mag def also. It is on the lower part of my plant is why I also took it as a nitrogen def. what do you think this is? I'll get another pic up tomorrow when lights come on

Here's the picture of the other leaf that is starting to yellow. I'm beginning to wonder if it's not root bound. It's a 5 gallon fabric pot the root zone feels like a rock of dirt


Also here's a picture of the leaf in my last post. It has browned shriveled and died. It is also very dry. The stem feels really rough.

Figured my problem out. It was due to a low ph! I believe the fish emulsion had something to do with that! Here's a before and after from yesterday's flush with 6.5 water. The chocolope had an explosion of growth after fixing the ph! Glad I caught it in early flowering!

Other than that the canopy is being taken over now that the chocolope is back on track. Can't wait until the stretch is done and to see nice little organic buds fill the screen! stay tuned everyone. (The few that are here haha)

Day 10 of flower. Everything is chugging along nicely. The chocolope is slowly recovering. From a low ph and is looking better daily. The wwxbb is filling this screen up like crazy. Hope the chocolope catches up. I would like to have an even amount of both strain but from the looks of it so far the wwxbb is going to yield quite a bit more due to the stunt in it's growth. Let's hope it catches up since it's a sativa and stretches for a bit longer!

Worst thing happened today. Think I spotted hermie balls on the wwxbb. Can someone confirm before I kill it off?
