Buds turning purple!

Hey guys... i'm at about 50 days into flowering under 252watts of cfl's. Don't hate on the cfl's, i have some very nice nugs! Anyways, i was checking out fdd's thread about when to harvest, and my nugs look pretty close to done, according to his advice. So, i was planning on harvesting soon, but i just checked my nugs this morning, and some of the calyxes on the buds are turning purple! Now i know many different strains don't show their signature traits until later in flowering. So, my question is... should I wait to harvest to see if the buds turn more purple, or should i harvest as originally scheduled???

harvest at peek potency, this is determined by watching the trichomes, the purple color will not indicate when the plant is ready, even though it may be a nice trait.....

no trichs are the best way, and you just pointed out the reason why......some plants are ripe even when the hairs are all white, like ATF.....the true indicator of ripeness is the trichomes......the hairs only tell you about part of the ripening, the trichomes tell you the most important part though....peak potency...when there is the most THC...you can only do this by watching the trichomes....:blsmoke:

buy at least a 30x microscope and look at the color of the trichomes. 25% amber its harvest time
