looks pretty normal if you forced flowering before the plants could reach maturity.

How long did you veg for ... and what strain is that ?
Look normal to me , maybe "slightly" Small buds , But the plants look healthy , What makes you think they are under developed ?.. have you grown this strain befor ?
Edit : It's OK ... i read your journal
Did you add the bloom boost befor you started 12 /12 ? ...and did that slow down the straching ? I read shomewhere that adding it to early can end up stunting growth ( slowing it ) for a short while .
Like i said ... they look really healthy ... don't worry to much ... After another week or so ... if you still think they look slow , Maybe try some pruneing of the fan leaves to promote saved enargy to the bud's ?
Don't take my word for it ... do a bit of reading up

Well, it's only 3 weeks.
Then again, when you went 12 / 12 it doesn't mean the plant reacted instantly either. Could of taken a few days.
Still, look good from here.
My last looked scrawny (first indoor), but I'm used to outside. Total diff.
My indoors kind of thought about it a bit,, then decided to do a Arnold Swartz.
They're fine if they're green.

Should be fine Lovemug ... It's one of the symtoms of being a grower ... everything allways feels or looks smaller ... less green ... to much this and that ... Just stick to the feed guide .. relax ...and your buds will come on when your plant's are ready to rock

Pruning fan leaves would not help at all, thats one of the worst possible things you could do to try to increase yeild and keep the plant healthy and growing as fast as possible. The leaves make energy for the plant, the plant doesnt make energy for the leaves. So your just decreasing total amount of energy production and throwing away all the energy saved in those leaves by them for the plant to put into the buds....

Indeed. The plants will let u kno when the leaves aren't needed. I.e. They will turn yellow or fall off. U can bend them and push them out of the way if they are blocking buds.

yeah i definatly wont cut any leaves off. this is only my second grow and i really dont remember when i got buds on the last one. i just remember them all of a sudden being there than having to wait forever. i should of probably payed more atention to detail on my first grow.

Could have something to do with the strain, maybe a longer flowering time? If its a sativa or a haze, it'll take longer to flower. Also, I'm all for trying new grow techniques, but why would you use veg nutes in the flowering stage? Your plants look really great. I would wait until a little later in the game to start worrying about bud size.

because during the stretch phase when they triple in growth about they use ALOT of nitrogen. You want big healthy green plants with lots of big beautiful fan leaves.

Lovemug , I am growing with a 600 hps also but I am into my 5th week of 12/12.

Yeah i anticipated people being against the pruneing , Lots of people for and against it ... And i can see the argument from both sides ( I'ts one of them " Some swear by it some totaly disagree with it " topic's " thats why i said " Maybe " and to do some reading up first
In Lovemugs position i would prolly just sit and wait for another week or two and see what happened ... if they looked a bit slow i would snip a few " Lower " fan's off and see if it helped

They do need some nitrogen in the first lil while of 12/12 but what gets me is that people "mix" the 2 together. From what I know, the nutes should be used alone, either veg nutes or bloom nutes. Mixing them causes binding of the nutes so why mix ? Use nitrogen for the first week of 12/12 then give them a flush before going to bloom food.

thank you, my seriouse seeds seem right on queue it must just be the barneys farm thats lagging behind or is a slow strain to take off. i couldnt really find many grow journals for them and im starting to realize why. had two hermie in the third week, and it looks like another one is going to also. im just having a bit of paranoia. from week 3 to 4 your really filled out.
