Budworms at harvest

i know there’s a million posts on budworms but it seems the only info is to spray it with bt. I’m growing 1 plant outdoors and cutting it down tomorrow due to upcoming bad weather so I don’t want to spray it with anything. I’ve went through the buds and found 4 worms on different colas and removed and killed them . My question now is what should I do to help prevent further loss . Do I have to inspect daily when drying to remove more worms any tips or help is appreciated

sorry no clue about budworms but thats a bummer if you need to chop just now as they need time to swell,lovely lookin plant.

Dude that is a light infestation, just hand pick them off.

Got another 3 today just worried about the inner damage they’ve probably done that I can’t see and im guessing there’s a lot more that I haven’t found or that will show up during drying and curing

I'm in a similar situation. Got two Paris OG plants that the worms have attacked, causing bud rot in addition to what they eat. And there's a hurricane heading for Baja, so it might rain here Monday through Wednesday, so I think I'm going to chop and dry. But I'm afraid of what I might find inside the buds. Don't know if they will be fit for consumption or if I should make a topical ointment out of them... or just throw 'em out.

I hope you get this figured out because my friend had this same problem back in high school haha. We never figured it out and the whole plant was useless. It survived through the full cycle but the yield and quality were both not there. Like at all.

Ended up cutting the plant last night after searching through it all for worms. I will check on them the next few days and then trim when dry

Yea I can ...I also checked my plants multiple times a day to remove the worms and any leaves that had eggs on them during the final week. Probably grabbed around a dozen in total and lost about 4 nice size nugs but will keep you updated now that they’re hanging
