BUDz almost done but are DIEING

just about EVERYTIME i grow, the plants do fine (most of them), until about a month into budding (which leaves one month left). Then they start to die.
The leaves on the top of the plant and on the tops of the branches start to turn yellow on the edges of the leaves and the leaves will curl down, until the yellow turn brown and the leaves dry out and are dead. After the leaves die out this "yellowing" starts to get into the BUDs, and they will turn yellow and die, get all crispy and dry out and die.

6x2.5' room: 2 plants pineapple express
I use 3gl buckets
water: store bought Distlled Water (per GL)
foxfarms OF soil
FF nutes: growbig 1-2 teaspons perGL, bigbloom 3 tblespons pergl, tigerbloom 2-3 teaspons pergl
gerneral organics nutes: bio root 1 teaspon perGl, cal+Mag 1 teaspon perGl
general hydor nutes: flora nova 2-3 teaspon perGl
400W hps+mh lights: I keep it about 2 feet away from the tallest plant
1 small fan & 1 med size fan: i tunr them off when the lights go off
Temp: 82-86f Humid= Lo-25% when lights on, 75-80f Humid= LO when lights off

when adding the budding nutes, the first month I do: 2 TeSp Tigerbloom & 1TeSp FloraNova and at the Second Month I do 2 TeSp FloraNova and 1 teSp of TigerBloom. I hear the FloraNova has molases in it, so i tend to want to use that more at the end of the budding, instead of TB.
I water them about every 4-5 days, after the soil gets dry and the leaves start to drop a lil. EVERYTIME I water them I add nutes. ONLY at the very begining and the very end do I NOT ad nutes in the water.

I belive I read that some people dont ad nutes to their water EVERtime. But will add nutes 2-3 times they water.
Maybe my buckets arent big enough and their getting root bound, maybe Im ginving too much nutes adn their getting nute lock, maybe its a lack of Humidity in the air.

I just dont know, in fact i wouldnt doubt it multipule things wrong
Ive grown about 6 or more different breeds and it always the same thing. I do get smokeable buds and when im done, but their just not what they would be.
And then the drying and curing, is a whole nother problem :wall: but ill worry about that after i fix this problem.

here are some pics, kinda blurry, ill try and take better ones shortly

SORRY FOR THE VERY LARGE PIC, I DONT KNOW HOW TO RESIZE A PIC YET FROM ANOTHER SITE

Hard to tell from that pic but looks like nute burn. I would cut out the tiger bloom for a while or at least cut it way back. That stuff will burn if you od.

dude your doing this wrong, when you first start growing its a good idea to get a whole nutrient system from the same company.. they are made to work together/complement each other. dont use the super nova only because it has molasses. if you want to add molasses get it at the grocery store. and like jack ripa told you cut out on the tiger bloom or dont use it for a couple of watering, i will guess and said its your ph, budding plants eat a lot they shouldnt be burning like that. good luck

yea tiger bloom from FF very easily burns and 2 tsp used with anything else sounds like too much to me, also try hitting em with 30-50% h2o2 and perhaps bio-degradable non-toxic dish soap (1 drop per gal) to help sterilize and aerate the soil (dish soap helps the roots breath better).

he is right.... use peroxide h2o2

Could also be a PH problem, which is common, at that stage of flowering. Any idea where your PH is?

im not sure the PH in either the soil or the water.
Ill invest in the soil meter and get the strips for the water. but Im guessing the soil PH is what you guys are asking from me.
So its quite possible im giving to much nutes, for the stage its at.
I give it 3 teaspon perGl ("1st motnh budding"2 tesp TB & 1 TeSp Flora nova)(2nd month budding: 2 tesp FN & 1 tesp TB)
between the 2 plants i have i use 1.5 gls total. So 3/4 Gl for each plant. I make sure water comes out of bottom and half fills the tray it sits in. After an hour, if a large amount of water is still in the tray, i will take it out. I fear it may over water the plant, maybe im wrong

So what would be my best step to take now. My next watering is tommorrow. Should it just be straight water, no nutes. or maybe a lil cal+mag and a lil BigBloom (not TB)??

Thanx ALOT for all the help and adivce so far. And for the quick replys :-P
Im gonna wait till the lights turn off to take a better pic

I would flush with plain water if it were me. And you should keep your fans on during lights out to prevent mold problems.

Yeah dude plain water let it set out for a while before feeding. Your giving them way to much nutes. I slowly work my chicks to full strength. 1week 1tsp of bloom &1tsp of veg. 2week 1.5tsp of bloom 1tsp of veg. 3week 2.5tsp bloom 4week 3tsp of bloom 5week full strength 1tb of bloom. Week6 same as 5 week 7 start backing nutes off a bit. Week8 start tho half strength of bloom and flush. I feed 2 times and flush on the third all grow season long.
Your fans should always be on and you should put a cake pan of water in there to pick up humidity. I keep my humidity at 44% and temps between 66f-77f both lights on and off. Less is more sometimes with nutes.

alright, ill definitly give straight water this time and ill just turn off one of the fans, ill leave my smaller fan on at night. Ill also start puttinga small pan of water in their to bump up the humidity. even i know 20-25 is low. in fact ill put the pan of wtaer in their now.

Thanx again people

if i may put in my two cents...

3 gal pots are toooooo small. they could be getting root bound toward the end of their lives every time. switch up to some smart pots, i love 'em.

Yeah man, if you're feeding them without PH-adjusting your mix, you're giving them fert-mix with a low PH, starving them. You should invest in a cheap meter, asap, and get that taken care of, or you're going to continue to have trouble, from now on. :)

Also, those strips aren't very accurate. They can tell you if your PH is off the charts, but not much more than than, especially if your fert-mix is tinted.

in a day or two itll be time to water them again. should I still just use straight water? or should I start again with a very low fert mix? .5 tesp TB perGL and thats it (NO cal+mag, NO big bloom,)
I know that I should be going out to buy the meter, but i still have NO cash in my pocket. itll be a week or two before I can afford one. so im just tring to "will" these plants along. They only got like 2-3 weeks before flushing. Im hopinh I can keep them together long enough for that. Than on my next grow Ill have the PH meter for soil and water. I know the water one is more expensive
is this one anygood for the soil: http://cgi.ebay.com/Luster-Leaf-13-Economical-Digital-Soil-Ph-Meter-/120706078219?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c1aa4960b
or should I get this one, the lil extra price is no problem for me: http://cgi.ebay.com/Luster-Leaf-Digital-Plus-Soil-PH-Meter-1847-/320679390276?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4aa9fb2c44
or will one of the cheapier 3in1 meteres work (moister, PH, light)??

And heres what im looking at for a water PH tester. Is it worth buying and using?? http://cgi.ebay.com/HANNA-HI-98103-Digital-pH-Tester-Meter-Checker-1-Water-/220614449078?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item335da557b6

Again, Thanx ALOT people for your help and info.

^Any of those will work fine, BUT, if you only have money to buy only one, most definitely get one to test your fert mixes, not a soil tester. If you adjust everything your pour into your soil, to around 6.5(I use 6.5-6.8), your soil PH will hold quite well. But, if you have no idea what your pouring in, your doomed.(seriously, unless you get really lucky.lol) Also, keep in mind thaqt you WILL need calibration solution, as soon as you get your meter, so if it doesn't come with any, buy some, or choose a meter that comes with some(7.0) til you can afford to buy some seperately.

nobody mentioned this:

Tigerbloom will drop your ph dramatically and you need to raise the ph after you mix in the tigerbloom - this is the main reason people have probs with tigerbloom learned it myself the hard way

at the end of marijuana's life cycle, it does a thing called "yellowing off." it is consuming the nutrients from it's leaves, and is a good thing! this means that the plant is eating/removing built up nutes in it's foliage. this is how you end up with tasty/non-nute buddage!!! usually though, this is something caused/helped by the grower by stopping feeding, and feeding plain water...

for the calib solution, should I get this one with a few different bottles:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Milwaukee-pH-7-01-Buffer-Calibration-Solution-230ml-230-/130504134309?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e62a70ea5

or get JUST the 7.0 bottle, i assume thats the only one I will need, but I want to ask before I buy

I forgot I do have about 110.00 or so in my paypal. So I will be buying these today, of course I wont get them for about 4-5 days. Im sure the plants can hang in their till then. If not atleast Ill be MORE prepared for the next grow :-P
Ill be buying the larger soil PH meter (not the Rod style one) and the water PH meter i displayed already (milwake)

Thanx again people. Im LOVEING the quick replys also. Some sites takes days to get a response from someone

^Go with the 7.0, it's the only one you need. Then, calibrate your meter to read 7.0 in the 7.0 solution, and you're ready to rock n roll.lol
