I'm in the process of moving my plants inside but riht they have to be outside. Only problem is that there are some super mini grasshopper like things munching on my leaves. I have a garden spray called "safer" but I'm not sure if it'll do the job and leave my plants heLthy or just destroy these works of art I've been babying for the longest time?

If anyone knows of or has tried this product first hand please let me know.

Is it black? I have one on mine too, I have noticed that it has done no harm to my plant so I left it, It's probably a predator.

No it's green and they've left me with a shit load of holes on my plants. I know if I leave them out unprotected too long there won't be anything left for me in the future.

i'd get as many bugs off as you can BEFORE you bring them inside. check over each plant and get rid of any bugs you can see. then i'd spray the soil of the plant with soap and water. i dont like using pesticides on my plants, so soap and water is as far as i go.... keep a vigilant eye on the plant and see if any damage continues, and if so, you've obviously missed a few of the critters. good luck...

yes, use regular dish soap and water. just enough soap to get bubbles in the water. you can increase amount of soap over time, but take it easy with soap in beginning. before that though, go over every inch and every leaf on the plant to get all bugs off you can. if you have to spray leaves with soap and water, make sure you wipe them down when your done and dont leave any water droplets behind, as they will burn your leaves. also, spray the soil. and for an extra measure of insurance, you could cover the soil with a layer of sand to keep more bugs from hurting plant. good luck...
