Building a table for flood tables...

As per the title... i want to build a 4x8 table for two 4x4 flood tables to sit on or in. (I cant get a 4x8 table down my stairs.)

So what do i need to know or be aware of? Slope and etc?

Perfectly level. Slope towards the drain the TINIEST BIT if you really want to though. But the drains lower on flood tables so it doesn't matter really.

Gradual slope towards the drain side, drains much better this way.

Five 2x4's, a sheet of plywood and a Pvc vinyl shower pan liner will work well. I would slope the table towards the drain 1/4-1/2 a bubble on a level.

Assuming reservoir(s) will be under the table, make sure you allow 3-4" above them to open lid. Check out Vader Vision on YouTube. He is all ebb and flow and he builds a table in a one or two of the episodes - even gives measurements.

You can get both a slope and perfect level.
Most commercial bought tables have those 'canals' in the bottom. So the water will be there anyway at the end of the drain.

When you have a slope the water will return faster to the reservoir.
But is this important? No, not at all.
If some water stays in your table, there will be water available for the roots. Good.
If there stays no water in your table, the roots will get water again next time. Also good.
The only thing that could not be good, is when the slope is in the wrong direction.
