Bull kelp , any experience?

So I live in a place where I can just go out in my skiff(a small boat) and harvest bull kelp and seaweed any time I want . I've read that they are great for gardens and full of nutrients. I'm in the middle of making a big batch of kelp tea right now. I harvested about 30 lbs of kelp and from reading and watching videos, I put the kelp in a container and I am gonna let it decompose for about three months, covered, and dark/semi warm. Then use the liquid that's left over as feed. Does anyone have experience with this stuff and what happened ?

Never made it myself, but I use kelp for my seedlings as it's awesome for root growth and development.

Stuff works wonders on clones and transplants.
