For your plants to need fertilizer they need light and CO2. If CO2 levels do not keep up with light levels, you will have problems utilizing everything you feed.

With the right soil microbiology on the other hand, your plants could get sufficient levels of everything despite the soil being technically low on some elements.

I've emptied and flushed and added only 0.5ml per gallon of pro tekt and 0.5ml per gallon of foliage pro.

Worked out at 140ppm tap water (0.28 EC)
And with nutes 250ppm (0.5 EC)
Ph is at 5.99 currently which should still be within acceptable range.

I'm hoping I start to see improvement over next few days and maybe see the ppm drop rather than rise.

I can't do much about humidity as the exhaust sucks out any humidity I make in seconds and I'll be going sealed with Co2 in 2 months. Humidity without exhaust on is 80% so that will fix the issue of humidity when I change over.

If the ppm still rises at this low of nutes then I have no clue what I can do

Shit I think it could be light burn, causing the plants to not eat nutes....

I have 60w per sq foot cobs 20 inches away... I think that since I havnt setup the Co2 yet and I'm exhausting the air I am literally burning the leaves and turning them yellow...

I've dialed down the light to 30w per sq foot and will see if it makes a differences

It went up to 270ppm as of now but I only just dimmed my lights to 50% an hour ago ...

Hopefully I have figured it out. I honestly thought with the lights being over 50cm away from plants 60w per square foot would be nothing

I've just built this new system so I'm all over the place trying to make sure it's right.

The system was designed with Co2 in mind but I don't have ac units or a Co2 gen yet so I was in a rush to get some plants in... setup an exhaust and hoped for the best.

I guess maybe I have way too much light with no Co2... but who knows known my luck lately if I dim the lights it probably still won't fix it

i didn't think 20 inches would be too close either.
what are your grow room temps? i run mine hotter with cobs then i did with cmh. low 80'sF

Room temps were 27c 30% humidity when I had them on full power. That's with a huge exhaust on full pelt replacing the room atleast 10 times an hour.

I noticed All the leaves that a yellow seemed to be closest to the bulbs, I've removed them all now and hoping it stops and recovers...

I have 4 citizen 1212 v5 per square foot running at 15 w each 50% + efficient so over 30 PAR watts per square foot when the plants were short they seemed ok, so it does make sense that as soon as they grew too close they fried

i had issues where i ran out of height in my room and the buds closest to the cobs starting balling up from too much light. maybe it's better you found it out now instead of later.

i run my 1212's at 80w per, 6 total for 480w in a 3x4

I think my lights are putting out nearly double the amount of light your fixture does then... let's hope this is definitely the issue

I've had light burn in flower before and I know the signs, albino buds and white sugar leaves but I think in veg it's slightly different, leaves aren't going white, they seem to go yellow first and the the veins have turned white as if the colour is being leached out slowly... not as easy to spot as it could be nute burn, nute deficiency, ph lockout or anything really

Dude, sorry this is happening to you. It seems like a mystery as to why your plants are responding so negatively.

I really think that something has to be off, whether it be your PPM pen or your PH pen. I've never heard of plants burning at .2-.3 EC.

I think it's worth your time to buy some calibration solution to ensure neither of your devices are off. Cannabis plants just shouldn't burn at those levels at all. If everything checks out okay and seems to be calibrated, then I would look into the water supply. There could be something in the water that your plants just don't like.

Unfortunately my tap comes out in the mid 200's for PPM's and is a bit hard, so I use RO water and have been really happy with it.

Do you not think light burn could possibly make plants take up less nutes?

Hell I've got a a half dozen albino colas right now. Lol damn mango shot up 3 times flip height and didn't stop. It started in a tent then I pulled the tent for the extra foot of height and still ended up in the reflectors over a few days. Now I've got them dimmmed and basically said fuggit. Everything about 4 inches or below the the top colas are still extra fire dense frost nugs. So I lost a couple ounces probably oh well. This whole run has been a shit show of sick babies and trips out of town. You cant really see it but its basically the top 4 inches of a couple colas. Some other just didnt grow taller and ended up looking like a large softballIMG_20180218_210627.jpg

Your clones are supposed to turn yellow, as it develops roots. The reason is because the clones use the stored energy in the leaves, to stay alive and grow roots. While roots are developing, the clones will even look like they're dying. I wouldn't remove any yellowing leaves until they're about to fall off. Until that time, your clones are still drawing energy from them.

Also, don't bother balancing your cloner water. It's a waste of pH solution. Until your plants are starting to take up nutrients, there's no reason to do it.

The plants we are talking about at the moment aren't clones, most of them are huge, atleast 2-3 foot tall atm
