dude my buddy didnt touch it when it happened and i mean the light was actually resting on the bud for a day so it had like a dime sized cooked spot. and that bud is now his thickest. hes actually harvesting in the next 2 weeks and ill have pics that show the difference its crazy

touching a florescent or a hid? like the top part of the cola is so burnt its cripsy dry, to the point where u can just crumble it off and smoke it!

i mean it wasnt burnt like ashes burnt but burnt where there no new fresh growth just brown burnt in spot, and it was burnt with a cfl, 150 watt

you ever had the problem?
i personally have and the burnt bud totally disapears from new growth all over it.
it probably says to hack it in grow books but im tellin ya from experience that it will grow better then the other colas. in 2 weeks im gonna have a thread with pics showing the difference, 2 weeks is the time he has left til harvest.

hmm thats intresting, i dont know shit, but i know that when u bend a plant to much, and it snaps, it grows a strong elbow back, and that part of the plant is stronger then the others. daveg1's friend plant was either a fluke, or maybe this meens if you burn a bud, with somethin as light a a 150w cfl, it might leave enough cell tissues in there to rebuild, and stronger then ever.

hmmm it kinda makes sence, cause like with the bend of the stem, if it breaks completely too much, to much cell tissue is destroyed and it cant grow back at all, could this be the same with the bud, that people who do roast there cola's, just burn it too much, due to a hid or whatever.

but maybe the cfl is burning it just enough, to break, but leave enough tissue to rebuild, and stronger?

in a way it'd make sence, make sure u let me know how ur experiment goes, might try it myself, dont think i got the brass though.

I've had that happen too - I didn't touch it and it grew super fat. Can't say if the resulting short fat bud was a better yield than if not burnt in the first place, but it certainly didn't appear to do much harm.

It's strange that MJ responds to different types of stress in a good way for us. Just think about it, if you bend it, top it, burn it, FIM it, clone it, or whatever, and it survives, most of the time it works out for the better.

yeah i've been thinking about this thread today, and it still makes sense to me. that maybe no ones ever noticed this before because when they have burnt there cola's maybe they burnt them too much were it never did grow back, or didnt grow back right. but maybe if you burn it the right amount, with a low heat light source such as a cfl, that maybe it will make the cells grow back stronger.

the plant works alot like our body, when we cut our skin, it grows back a scar, which is tougher then our normal skin, when we break a bone, the place were the break was in the boner heals back thick and scar like, and stronger in that one spot than any other.

i guess my only doubt is, someone would of discovered this by now. but then i think, not alot of people burn there stuff with cfl i dont think, and if they do, they might just cut the shit off and never thought about just leaving it.
