those darn charts,, lol
I have some vacuum packed weed around here thats over a year old,, still looks great, I was thinking about freezing some of the vacuum pack meds,, i once read where a guy stored it for years this way
For long term storage...I have used a vacuum pack and freezer for years.. frozen trichs only break off if you handle it..
Just let it thaw before you open it... smoking ogk from 2/13.. so over 3 years.. still looks and smells excellent..

i just think to store it for any significant length of time, get a good 6-8 week cure on it and vacuum seal the jars, store in a dark place with normal living temps (72F-76F) and it should be fine for a couple years.
*edit* a safe deposit box would probably be an ideal place if you got the brass.

I had read the very same thing,, to vac seal then lay in a sturdy box and freeze, that way it doesnt get roughed up in the freezer, not tried it, but as I get bud around here thats getting older and older, i think about trying it,, i mean why not try it,, if i end up throwing it away ,, at least I tested differant methods
vacuum seal the jars,
I need to invest in a jar vacuum device,, as well

some of my curring jars glitter and sparkle in the sunlight from all the trichs that have broken off in the jars, but the buds are still covered in them and smoke great,
I suppose when we grow weed for ourselves and have weed coming out our ears a few lost trichs isnt the end of the world,,
figuring out how to store it for years is the problem, at least round my house,
and another grow is going to be harvested soon,, oh no more bud to dry cure and store,,
such problems right,,so glad we went rec legal in Oregon

I do need to get a vacuum jar sealer, and some more bags for the food vac

your right about that, three differant meters can read three differant things,
I did do the salt test and dailed them as best as possible,
I should try and not be so cheap,, i am my own worst enemy,, hahaha
If you have a Bodeva 62% pack you can test them and calibrate them to the perfect RH range.
what is this salt test you speak of?
if you mix a solution of salt and water and seal it off it will create an atmosphere of 75% humidity. I believe it's closer to 75.4% depending on temprature.

Take some salt, just regular sable talt and put in into a bottle cap or something similar.. Add water, I use distilled, and use just enough to wet the salt without it being slushy. Put you hygrometer in a sealed container with the prepared salt/water for 12-24 houes and you with have created an atmosphere of 75% RH. This will allow you to see if your hygrometer is reading accurately.

I do this as well as the Bodeva 62% packs because hygrometers are generally more accurate to the RH they were calibrated at.
