Hey, i have a question. The question is, how do you regulate proper temps in a cold climate?
I have an 8 inch vortex running on a dimmer switch. I also have a heater in my room that turns on when the lights go off. Now here is my problem. The vortex doesnt shut off. Its filterd before leaving and want to keep it that way. I have an oilfilled heater that is 1500watts. It doesnt do much when the 8inch is on its lowest setting. Now i cant turn off my outtake because of smell and humidity. I have a dehum but dont want to turn it on because of wattage. What can i do to make my room optimum. Its current 15c when the lights are off and 21c when they are on. Room is 12x9x8
temps outside=8-12c

My dehumidifier usually heats up an 18x20 foot room in my basement fairly well as long as it is sealed (maybe about 8-10 degrees F). You could try turning your fan off, not using heater, and using the dehumidifier. It would depend how humid the area is though. You don't want to dry it out too much but you would need to have the dehumidifier running fairly constantly to keep it warm. Having it on a timer opposite of the light would make sense. As the light heats the room more than the dehumidifier the RH % would drop anyways.
Maybe this would work, but there are other things to consider such as how cold it it where you're growing.

yea since my central heating isnt working, it is very cold. Pissing me off for the extra cost in power.
The dehum does give off heat but not enough. This wont be a problem in a month or two when the temps go up outside. buts its about 8 outside right now and probly lower than 15 in my room
