If you ask me i think there is foul play like a motherfucker. If there was an official complaint by a neighbor and all that they would have come with a warrant and have to respond to that complaint. the way you discribe it, sounds to me like your buddies just dont want you growin there... The cops would love to get a grow op. That looks great for there record and you can only move up in the force with attention. Any cop would have love a tip like this to get his carreer going. I think your friends either 1 dont want it around.. or 2 wanted your shit.

Well just keep crap out of your house for time being. It will take at least a few weeks to about a month and a hlaf for them to get a search warent ( don't know the laws in your state but i do in mine (= ) then after a while and you start a grow once more only do a few plants at one time, the more you are cought with the longer you sit in prison, You might even get off with some fines like posesion of ileagal substances. Keep that bong clean because if they come back they can take it and run some test on the resent thats inside of it but if it is clean they wont even waste good tax payers money on trying. Oh and most importantly next time when you grow don't tell anyone you can't trust, and i mean like no one. Get the word around now that you have been busted with the plants and arn't going to grow anymore just in case if the person that did rat on you hears this he wont spill to the cops any more thinking they got you. And if you sell use a code name like G or something and never sell from your house walk down the street or something and meet pepole at the corner or drive and drop, go to them and give them the stuff when they call you. Never sell to random ass pepole, they could be cops but if the guy looks young and you can tell is a stoner go ahead, just play it safe.

Like someone else said, the cop came to your house hoping yall would be dumb enough to let him in without a warrant and/or figured he could scare you enough to trash your plants and stop growing after the knock on the door. You will not get charged for possession for the bong or bowl, but if you don't thoroughly clean to where there is NO trace or smell of bong water, they will get your for paraphernalia. Hide the bowl, clean the bong, GOOD. If you had a collected blob of resin that you had scraped from your bowl though you could obviously get possession for that. Btw if he really wanted the bust and could get the warrant, he would have had it the first time... not giving you the chance to get rid of evidence. Be careful though if there is 1 seed one the ground you can technically get charged for it.

Also: There is hardly roommates you will find you can grow with. My best friend has no idea i have ever grown bud. Get the word out that you stopped and never let ANYONE know otherwise if you start again.

Like someone had mentioned earlier, IF this is how the story really went down, someone could of smelled the plants or SOMETHING about you growing got out and they told.

Anyways, the way I'd look at this situation is... I wouldn't worry about it right now too much. I don't see them coming back with a warrant, if they came and "asked" about a grow op going on inside. As someone mentioned, it could of just been to scare you.

I'm sure a lot of you saw the show on the History channel about Marijuana, and I know the guy that came to your place of residence was a Sherrif but I'm sure this could intertwine with how both forms of LEO work out whether it's DEA or your city cops/county Sherrif. They're not out looking for the guy who has 3-4 plants growing in his place. The ones they're getting search warrants for are the houses and warehouses that are growing hundreds of plants at a time. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they WON'T get a search warrant for someone who has 3 plants. But in this situation it almost seems like someone complained about you, and that was the Sherrif's way of controlling the problem. I'm sure if the problem were to get worse (such as strong odors from plants or large groups of people being over a lot looking suspicious) whatever the case, I could see them coming back with a warrant. And the reason why I say that is it seems like someone complained about you. I'd say just chill out on growing for a few and wait it out. That's my 2 cents worth

did anyone know that possession or production of process marijuana is worse than just having some buds on you with your pipe... Meaning they see hash..honey oil... butter... anything that is processing of the marijuana a heavier chrime.

id clean the bong i once got a charge id never even heard of possesion of a marijuana smoking utensil thought they also caught me with 12 plants that were budding and i had to pay a $2500 fine they also charged me for having information on how to grow marijuana what the hell kinda charges are those its stupid

"grow op" implies a major operation. You only had 3 plants. Maybe they were sniffing around, didn't smell anything noteworthy and moved on.

Here's the best strategy, ask around find out who the big shit lawyer is in your town. If shit goes down say nothing. Tell your friends to say nothing. They will tell you that they already have enough eveidence to put you away. They will tell you your grandmother is next door giving you up. Keep in mind its all a lie. Get a card from that lawyer and call him. They will give you hell trying to convince you thats the wrong thing to do but do it. Remeber these fuckers are not your friends but there not going to waste a whole lot of time with a guy like you anyways for the most part "unless its a small town and there aint shit todo" small town courts suck. IF you cant have your lawyer handle it still plead not guilty and go to the prosecuting attorney and tell him what your combfotable with. Try to get no jail time and a fine for a grand thats usally a win, win for most prosecuters. But keep in mind its all negotiations. he wants a win you want it to be over. Dont take a felony and ask for an option to ex-spounge "don't know if thats how its spelled" later. Dont deal with the cops they dont have any real power other than your arrest. Its all the prosecuting attourney. I have been arrested alot and I am actually doing ok in life no felony all charges wiped and I never gave them shit. But remeber they never had shit either. even if they catch you with it in your hand you can still just call a lawyer. FOr the most part now a days pot will get you nothing if you play your shit right its a matter of not being a dick to them dont cop an attitude but do insist your right to a lawyer is upheld. if you dont have cash take the shitty laywer they give you but tell him you want to talk to the Prosecuter personally or just give him your demands...try to lowball to that way if they comeback with more shit it might just hit what you where going for. part of what you say is incorrect. it does matter how many plants you are growing in MANY states. 13 states only give a CIVIL ticket (non-felony, averages $100 ticket) for possession of cultivation of under 100 grams. i know mine does. so if I get caught growin three plants, i get charged with a civil offense - not a misdemeanor, not a felony - a civil offense, like a ticket.

what state are you in ? where i am you can get off with a ticket for 25gs or less.
any cultivation is misdemeanor here.
and if they say under 100g cultivation ... that could mean the weight of the plant it self .. not actuall buds. so 1 plant youd be over 100gs.

thats very true. i also live in a state where if your growing under 100gs then its a 100 dollar ticket. My advice would be if you see a raid comin your way and you dont got time to dispose of anything, take some scissors and cut all the buds off of the plants, that way they dont have a choice but to only consider charging you for the actual bud n not the soil branches and everything else. That would be my advice, and thats my "Oh FUCK!" strategy too, lol. I honestly dont know how well it would work, but i DO know that my ass would argue it with my pot lawyer until i got no breath left to fight it with

It's called "knock and talk". They do that shit all the time but somebody gave them a reason to suspect. They do the knock & talk to see if they can see or smell anything enough to call it probable cause and enter without a warrant.
