Long read but worth every word. At least they can't just kick in the door, trash the place, cut the plants and arrest you. They've got to send you a warning letter, then hear you in court, then give you several days to fix everything before they give you a ticket for creating a public neuisense.

I went to the 8th grade and 12th gradegraduation on May 27, 2011 to watch my sister in law graduate from high school andwas completely appalled when I had to listen to a 10 minute speech from Mr. KimYamaguchi, our district 5 supervisor of Butte County. I was not appalled byjust the speech itself, I was appalled by the things he spoke about during agraduation ceremony. He spoke about himself through the whole speech. If I hada counter I would say he said “I and me” probably 100 times. Then the most inappropriatesubject he spoke about during his speech was the issue of marijuana in thecounty. He even spoke about the medical marijuana meeting that we just had on May24th. He told a long dragged out story about his family member whohas been “addicted” to marijuana for 30 years and said and I quote “I have no intelligenceof any medical need for marijuana because I am not a medical expert”. Kimspeaking about this issue and making the whole speech self-absorbent wastotally inappropriate for a graduation ceremony. He even said “I don’t like thegovernment trying to tell us what we can or can’t do” Well Mr. Yamaguchi is acontradicting person because the cultivation ordinance they just passed isdoing exactly that. Is this a person we really want to be a supervisor of ourcounty? I think not!
