Aren't bible thumping hypocrites the common folk in Indiana ...that has been my experience there
Here's a little story for you, A couple years ago I bought and old car for $ 500, the dude that sold it to me had me follow him to his bank, so he could have them check the 25, 20 dollar bills I paid him with and this dude worked for Lesea broadcasting in SB. I could understand it if I was a younger man but I'm a clean cut 60's+ year old man.
So what does that tell you about how the religious people around here think!

It tells me you are delusional. You think your a clean cut 60 year old man but it appears others see you different. Perhaps as an untrustworthy criminal lookin dirtbag.

"Religious" "think" "Lesea broadcasting" ?
It reaffirms my intuition that provincial, religious folk are going extinct because of failure to adapt.

Nothing, that does not have a religious cause, greed does and some people get burned and are gun shy.

He was the sanist one there.
It would be nice to see him as a serious nominee, but it will never happen.
Buttigieg speaks 6 different languages, is highly intelligent, extremely emotional stable and able, he's personalable too. Unfortunately he's gay, best man for the job, but there are political issues of bigotry and the democrats can't afford to lose a single vote, the stakes are simply too high. This is a struggle for the soul of America, as well as it's constitution and the rule of law, it would be nice to see the "better angels" for a change. He might just win the nomination, he's got all the right stuff, but the current political environment makes that difficult. The democrats need to appeal to a lot of bigots in order to win it all in 2020, they don't just require a victory, but a mandate for change, and "bigly" change too. They are hoping that a lot of folks start at the top of the ballot and fill in the left side blue blanks, all the way from POTUS to dog catcher. That's the game, I like ole Pete, a smart, decent guy who would probably make one of the great ones, but...

I'm just an observer though, watching from afar and have no say.

For a mayor of a place nobody heard of, he's doing really well and has caught a lot of national exposure. I think he's well positioned to make a serious run at prez after he's served and gained experience in a larger office. We'll see in another eight years if his personal preferences still make that much difference.

I think he will be the best man for the job, he still has time, I really am not comfortable with someone new with the stakes this high for our government right now. We need someone that at least knows all of the key players in American government to get us through this Russian mess that Trump has made.

It is hard to trust anyone too much right now. I like Pete a lot, especially how fast he seemed to have learned after his cities police killed someone, but I don't know him enough. I feel the same with Beto and Yang.
