No offense taken eyecandi. My lawyer and city hall said that in order for me to accept any monies from my patients as a caregiver here in CO, that I have to do the same as CA. I was told it is for my own protection tax and law wise. Made sense to me for sure and I will not argue with my lawyer and city hall! You def got your stuff down on thdisp. side of thing though!

I buy off Craigslist a lot. If you use common sense you can find some great medicine for really good prices. I can usually tell by the ad/picture/phone call whether it is somebody who is worth the time. I would never meet up with somebody unless I talked with them on the phone first. Bud trader is another good site. Unfortunately Bud Trader doesn't get much traffic here in CO. Also, patients in CO can buy from anybody with no legal risk. It is the sellers who are taking a risk. I hate dispensaries and try to avoid them whenever possible. Dispensaries are all slimy, money grubbers IME. They are also the reason HB-1284 passed which was bad for everyone BUT dispensaries. So I pretty much boycott dispensaries. Growers on CL just don't have the connections is all. Some are sketch, most aren't. I can always tell early enough in the process and have only been burned by dispensaries.

Yeah? What's the catch? How are you compensated for your expenses?
Why would there be a catch? I get to do something I love (legally), I no longer spent $400 a month on meds, my kharma is awesome, I'm helping folks that truely need it. I also spend several hours a day on this forum answering questions and teaching folks how to grow.
I guess the simple truth is I love the plant more than money or greed. I have what I need and my garden doesn't cost that much.
Now I will also add that I'm not given meds to fake patients that used the Ouch I have pain bullshit. I have 2 cancer patients and vietnam vet with a 14 inch zipper scar on his back from almost dying for us.

Is it wrong to be a decent human being now a days???

Seriously still considering craigslist? IF you have to do, but you can get much better hook ups elsewhere i believe. Anyhow, yes it is possible to get good bud off of craigslist pay attention to the details, did they provide a pic? Did they offer to let you sample before you buy? Good luck.

Nope, nothing wrong with being a decent human being. But that is a false equivalency and not what I asked. If what you're claiming is truly an accurate representation of yourself then you're obviously not what I think of when I hear the term caregiver. You're a guy that grows a little extra medicine on the side and helps a few people out from time to time. A typical caregiver with 36 plants, 6+ lights and 5 truly sick, heavy user patients has $500-$1000/month in expenses. So don't make a false equivalency between greedy douche bags and decent caregivers who don't have the means to cover their monthly expenses without requiring a fair donation to compensate for the equipment/supplies/electrical fees. I've been on both sides of the fence and I don't necessarily buy your good samaritan schtick. True philanthropists do good deeds for the sake of doing good. They don't brag about their deeds or seek pats on the back by blurting them out unsolicited on a web forum. Just sayin...

What question? I didn't ask any questions in my original post. I made a statement. You came along and replied to my statement. Then I asked you a question regarding your unsolicited statement where you bragged about your philantrhopy. Why would you have the need to supply us with that information? Isn't the simple act of doing it enough?

Then I asked you a question regarding your unsolicited statement where you bragged about your philantrhopy and implied (by the sentences in my OP that you chose to highlight) that caregivers who charge for meds are inferior to you.
question was "What's the catch?" and because you chose to enterpret what I implied is not my fault. I have never felt superior to anyone, nor have I ever implied that I am. True I invested bout $1500 in my op, which has paid for itself several times just in the monthly savings from not having to buy meds. My nutes cost a dollar a pound ( I have a 25 lb bag, like a 10 year supply) my electric bill increase with 400 watt lights is like $50 a month extra. I did not ever point a finger directly at you? And we don't know each other so what would there be to judge?
