Maybe the bugs are getting laid in the soil at your house, most bagged soils are sterilized so theres no bugs, fungi or weeds in a sealed bag. If you really are finding bugs in your bagged soils I'd complain and get your money back or at least an uncontaminated bag. good Luck!

i grow in coco but with neem added - it's brilliant for fending off bugs. i did grow in soil for a short period, id use an organic potting mix and then add perlite, vermiculite, little lime, neem and chicken manure/worm castings. i've never had a problem with bugs :)

good luck

My first grow I used Miracle Gro and I didnt see any until I started flowering.. Heres a picture of the FOXFARM I'm using now

If you put water that is 140 f. degrees and flush the soil with it before you put the seeds in then it will kill off all the bugs. Just wait 20-30 minutes before putting the seed in.

Just for starters its not always bad to have bugs. I have always used foxfarm soil and it will usually come with soil mites. These are wonderful to have as they only eat decaying plant matter. And their waste is great for the soil. You have to determine what type of bugs you have first. NEVER sterilize soil as you will kill the beneficial organisms and make it almost "barren". Are they hurting your plants? If not keep em around. They will not leave the grow area and spread. Keep us posted. Shamus
