Cal-Mag?

Whats up everyone

I am having deficiencies. Need some advice

I was going for the botonicare Cal-Mag, but i couldnt find any around where i live from Botanicare.

Will this one work? Its talking about a 2:1 cal to mag ratio with vitamin D

Ive searched and it seems nobody has used anything other than cal-mag plus from botanicare in their plants, but that could be because you arent supposed so lol and thats what im trying to figure out


Anyways dudes, I found this close to me

Basically can I get some cal-mag from a company other than botanicare if its in a hydro shop?

its not the real cal-mag. Just ask for something just as good at your hyrdo store:leaf:

Are you using dirt or hydro?

If you are using dirt you can try adding molasses. It will give you all the calcium, magnesium and iron you need with some carbs for about $2.00 a bottle.

yeah i am in dirt, molasses eh?

I heard of that but i didnt think about it, let me read up on this thanks man

molasses adds residual flavor, so keep that in mind. works in a pinch, organic growers love it.

i would advise you to either order cal/mag+ online, or go with a similar product at the hydro store (there are several manufacturers that make cal/mag formulas). it's great stuff, and will give you better end results than molasses.

yeah i was just reading about that, everyone is saying to just get cal-mag..I am doing a SOG and I am going to go into town and pick some up for my next round

Next time you're at the store take a look at the back of a bottle of molasses, just make sure it is unsulphered. It is loaded with calcium, magnesium and iron. As much or more than you will get from Cal/Mag. It will not change the flavor of your smoke in any way, the plant breaks down and processes the molasses just like any other additive.

Most of these sweet additives, which are high in cal and mag are just molasses broken down so they don't clog hydro systems. You are better off using the real stuff. Tray Cal/Mag on a few plants and molasses on the others. From my own experiments you will get much better outcomes with the molasses.

There are some other brands that I can't think of right now that are basically the same thing as cal-mag. Magical is one of them I believe. Basically identical just botanicare cal-mag is the most popular.

cal/mag is derived from sea kelp, not sugar waste products. molasses DOES leave a residual taste, as the plant takes up much more than just base chemicals. perhaps you should do a side by side test yourself...

and to be fair, i'm the one who posted that big article on sweet organic goodness..... ;)
