is it possible to use calcium carbonate to prevent calcium deficiency by watering the plants with it? if so how much per gallon of water/soil.. thanks
Well, the Cal/Mag are paired together for a reason... but if you have hard water, and go higher Cal with something like calcium carbonate, you can actually cause Mg def.. of which the first symptoms would look N-def, until you get rusted spots dotted throughout the leaves. Not recommended, but it's possible if you're careful and find another source for the Mg.is it possible to use calcium carbonate to prevent calcium deficiency by watering the plants with it? if so how much per gallon of water/soil.. thanks
